The Dark Pictures Anthology is a series of stand-alone, cinematic horror games, designed to present a new terrifying experience on a regular basis.Each game is unconnected and will feature a brand new story, setting and new cast of characters.
In Man of Medan, four young Americans set sail on a diving trip, to find the rumoured location of a WWII wreckage. As the day unfolds, and a storm rolls in, their trip soon becomes something much more sinister. Who will live? Who will die?
Players can take the role of each of the five protagonists, the four Americans and the captain of the boat, each with a different perspective. Explore and discover the mysteries of their terrifying situation, and be forced to make decisions that will change their lives forever.
Each game is designed to be replayable, with branching storylines, paths, and numerous endings designed to keep players coming back for more. Players decisions are vital for survival of all the characters. With any combination of choices made can result in any of them surviving, dying or worse…
The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man Of Medan will launch on 30th August, 2019 both boxed and digital editions for PS4, Xbox One and PC Digital.
Man of Medan is also available to pre-order from today at participating retailers - with players that do, will gain exclusive Day 1 access to the Curator’s Cut - an alternative path seen from a new perspective.
Unlocked after completing the game once, the Curator’s Cut (which will be made available for free to all players at a later date) provides:
- A new perspective with alternative characters in previously played scenes
- New decisions and choices within each scene which change the story in different ways
- New scenes and new secrets not featured in your original playthrough
“The Curator’s Cut is different to the traditional Director’s Cut as it gives the player new ways to directly influence the story and its outcomes. Man of Medan will be fully voiced in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Russian.
The Dark Pictures Anthology is in development for PS4, Xbox One and PC, with the first installment, Man of Medan, coming in August 30, 2019.
