'Uragun' Comes to Steam Early Access Next Week - Trailer

by Rainier on July 10, 2019 @ 2:09 p.m. PDT

Uragun is a bloody action slaughterhouse in a classic, top-down style, which is a tribute to old-school 2D shooters.

For years the all-powerful AI served the human race. This all changed at the brink of world-ending disaster – an impending explosion of Yellowstone supervolcano. The AI turned against mankind and its once benevolent creations turned into killing machines. Humankind stands no chance against countless masses of bots printed in giga-factories all over the globe. In a desperate attempt to deal a decisive blow to machines, the most brilliant minds of humankind put a genius e-sport player in charge of the ultimate weapon. Remotely controlled from the International Space Station, the last achievement of human engineering rises to liberate Earth.

This war mech is called Uragun. And you are the pilot.

Now you can unleash your rage against the machines in the name of humankind. You are a weapon of mass destruction, but remember – your chances are limited.

Start the war with your Uragun-001 soon.

Uragun is coming to Steam Early Access on  October 17, 2019, with a full release planned for Q1 2020.

Early Access period will allow developers to implement additional gameplay improvements and get feedback from players.

“Uragun is an innovative top-down shooter game. It brings together the atmosphere of cult classic Syndicate with the dynamic combat of Crimsonland and tactical elements of Helldivers. The enemies are much more than mindless hordes. They change with passing time and adapt to the players strategies. The action is set among buildings and streets adapted from the topography of real cities and, as we know, fighting in such environment brings many tactical challenges” – says Jacek Wesołowski, Lead Designer of Uragun, who has experience in working on well-received Bulletstorm, among others.

Key Features:

  • Outsmart the biggest and the most tricky swarms of AI bots ever seen
  • Take on many different “species” of AI bots based on humans and animals alike with their own unique capabilities and patterns of behaviour.
  • Futuristic locations based on real cities areas (New York, Bejing, Moscow, Berlin, Paris, London, Warsaw)
  • A gameplay based on action, andrenaline and the development of your own strategy of fighting with AI
  • At least 10 hours of gameplay filled with many missions in different locations which challenge you to deploy many different strategies to progress further.
  • Maximum carnage – your mech is an engine of destruction, so make use of different weapons and power ups, bathe the screen in fire, stomp your enemies, generate massive shockwaves and leave your enemies in pieces.

Uragun is coming to PC (Steam) in Q1 2020.
