'Taste of Power' Leaves Early Access Next Month, Gets Dated

by Rainier on July 8, 2019 @ 9:30 a.m. PDT

Taste of Power is a real-time strategy game set in an alternative Middle Ages in which three civilizations confront against each other.

Taste of Power shows the confrontation between Europe, China and the Middle East for dominance on the continent. The game includes building cities, recruiting troops, studying technologies and fighting large-scale warfare.

The economy of the game is similar to a town-planning simulator in scale: the houses are built around the administrative center, the workers who collect resources, process them and carry finished goods to the warehouse, come out of them. In this case a player needs just a few clicks to manage cities. In addition to this, you can learn a lot of technologies in the game, trade and loot caravans.

Taste of Power is a game that challenges your strategy skills: will you be able to make the right decisions in a limited time-frame? Prove your speed and tactics by defeating the brutal AI. Discover a new word in real-time strategies and feel the Taste of Power.

Taste of Power appeared in Early Access in December, 2018 and will be leaving Early Access on August 27, 2019.

The Full Version of the game will contain new maps and more modes such as multiplayer and campaign. The interface, the graphics and the music will also be improved overall.

Taste of Power brings you a new experience of medieval warfare:

  • Artillery dramatically changes the course of battles. The numeral superiority no longer guarantees victory.
  • Engineers allow creating mobile defenses to protect strategic positions.
  • Underground tunnels allow transferring troops to defenseless enemy areas.

In addition, each side has a multitude of unique troops:

  • The warriors of Europe can form the construction of the “Phalanx”, build a wall of stakes, invoke the Crusaders, and have gunpowder artillery. European support troops can build fortifications, monks can raise the morale of the troops, and spies can revolt in enemy cities.
  • Chinese troops can create smoke screens to protect against enemy arrows, provoke support for Mongolian horsemen and have early rocket artillery. Chinese support troops can set up medical tents, traps and poison grenades.
  • Timurids is the third game side. They are represented by the warriors of the Middle East. War elephants, chariots with incendiary oils, engineers who can build underground tunnels and a lot more will be under your control.

Taste of Power will be on August 27, 2019.
