Anno 1800 brings players at the dawn of the industrial age, a time of industrialization, diplomacy and discovery. Players will have the chance to prove their skills as a ruler, as they create huge metropolises, plan efficient logistic networks, explore and settle new lands and dominate their opponents by diplomacy, trade or warfare.

Anno 1800 combines the best of what the franchise can offer: a rich city-building experience, including a story-based campaign, a highly customizable sandbox mode and the classic Anno multiplayer experience.

This is the dawn of the industrial age and the path you choose will define your world. Are you renovator or exploiter? Suppressor or liberator? Diplomacy, trade or warfare, choose your strategy for victory. It’s up to you how the world will remember your name.

Anno 1800 will be free to play in honor of Gamescom 2019 on PC.

Starting today until August 26 players can play Anno 1800 for free on Uplay. The free trial includes the first three tiers of the sandbox mode along with the multiplayer mode. In addition, players will be able to try out for the first time the upcoming day & night cycle and enjoy the beauty of their city by night, to be released as a free update for every Anno 1800 player on September 10.

On September 10, players will discover Botanica, the second DLC of Anno 1800. Players will be able to grow their city’s attractiveness to new heights with a modular Botanical Garden, allowing them to earn new items and rewards as they draw the tourist masses to their floral masterpiece. Alternatively, they will be able to construct the new Musical Pavilion and enjoy beloved tracks from previous Anno games inside their city.  

The Free Trial ends on August 26, 9am CEST Paris Time. This demo is provided AS-IS, may not contain the same content as the full/final game, may not function as expected, and may crash. Please note that maintenance may also occur at any time during this period, rendering you unable to access parts or all of the demo. Ubisoft Blue Byte also offers players the opportunity to join their team in the creation of Anno 1800 with ANNO Union. This brand new community initiative will provide exclusive content, latest news, development insights, behind the scenes content and give them the opportunity to play the game early. Gamers will be able to help the studio shape the future of the franchise, as they will regularly be invited to share their feedback, vote on features, create content and get the chance to take part in play tests during its development.
