'Overpass' (ALL) Delayed Until Next Year - Trailer

by Rainier on Aug. 20, 2019 @ 5:06 p.m. PDT

Overpass is an an off-road simulation where the player takes control of powerful buggies and quads, scrabbling across extreme tracks and very hazardous terrain.

This simulation, unique in its genre, pits the player against craggy slopes and puts their cool-headedness to the test throughout technical obstacle courses along wilderness tracks.

At the controls of 25 buggies and quads from big-name manufacturers (Arctic Cat, Yamaha, Polaris and Suzuki), players will need to negotiate scree slopes, steep inclines and various obstacles on extreme off-road and technically challenging tracks.

With 40 routes in varied terrain and environments, a new challenge can be found in each race. Whether it involves hillclimbing or rock-crawling, the aim is to complete the race in the best time possible.

Overpass realistic and technical level design, combined with the advanced physics engine, makes for an even greater challenge: mud, sand, rocks, natural and man-made obstacles... every type of terrain offers a unique test. Players must choose the vehicle best suited to the selected track, adapt their driving style and understand that speed is not always the answer. You’ll need to master the technical characteristics of official reproductions of buggies and quads from iconic brands such as Yamaha, Suzuki and Arctic Cat. From expert control of acceleration, wise use of the transmission and differentials, and knowing when to shift from two- to four-wheel drive, there are many options to master on the road to off-road victory.

There are multiple game modes in Overpass : Career, Quick Race, Local Multiplayer (split screen and hotseat) and Online Multiplayer with up to eight players. The Career mode lets you manage your buggies and quads and choose the one best adapted to each track and terrain type in order to win the competition and attract sponsors. In multiplayer mode, you’ll need to know and master the slightest detail of each track in order to post the best times and show that you are truly the master of off-roading!

Originally planned for October 2019, Overpass will be available on PS4, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch in February 2020.
