'Legrand Legacy: Tale of the Fatebounds' (ALL) Gets PS4 And Xbox One Date

by Rainier on Sept. 27, 2019 @ 12:00 a.m. PDT

Legrand Legacy: Tale of the Fatebounds is a tactical turn-based JRPG that takes you on a journey through a chaotic world that's torn apart by civil war and threatened by an otherworldly invasion.

You play as Finn, the reluctant leader of a band of unlikely heroes, who soon discovers that the true peril to their universe lies within themselves. The game combines beautiful hand drawn backgrounds with highly detailed character models and environmental effects, to deeply immerse players in the world of Legrand.

Strategy is key! Take advantage of each attack type, (slash, pierce, impact) as well as of element types (fire, wind, water, air and ice) to maximize your potential in battle. Once the commands have been selected, be ready for the ACT – Action Circle Tempo. Think of ACT as a Quick Time Event that requires that you press the correct button at the right time in order to grant bonuses to your attack or defense. You will also need to watch out for interruptions that can be triggered by the attacks from your enemies, however - you can also interrupt your enemies, so be sure to plan and act accordingly!

Legrand's current grim state has been caused by the Mugna Feud - an ongoing war between the Kingdoms of Fandor and Altea. As a result, the inhabitants of Legrand grow increasingly contemptuous, while poverty soars and criminals reign free. On top of this, the entire Legrand universe is also prophesized to be at risk of being attacked again by the Fir Bolgs - demonic creatures from another dimension whose main goal is to conquer new worlds to expand their dominance and supremacy - no matter the cost.

Fight deadly malicious monsters, and the gruesome creatures under their control. Can you survive the onslaught?

Recruit Non-Player Characters (NPC) to help restore Dumville Castle back to its former glory! As you attract more NPCs to join your cause, you’ll also be able to engage in some fun mini-games as you try to beat the high scores.

Side quests in Legrand Legacy range from 'get to know your characters better' to some really hardcore challenges, if you're up for some added fun! You will receive valuable rewards and bonuses for completing each side quest – who knows, you might gain access to a War General or an NPC to tend to your Headquarters.

Collect items from slain enemies and decide whether to sell them for some quick money, or be patient and use them to upgrade your characters' equipment as you craft new items to improve weaponry and armor sets.

Over time, you will amass a large army which can be deployed to war in various parts of Legrand. To achieve victory, you will need to consider the troop types you’ll be facing, the troops you’ll be sending to battle, and the terrain they will fight in as you strategically position them on the map.

You can customize the items and grimoire that characters can wield in combat, establish specific combat formations, review journals to track quests, use items to restore lost health, distribute points to level up characters and unlock to improve their skills.

Visual novel style conversation, with detailed characters that express emotions in real-time, so that you can know how they truly feel about their actions, and the situation at large.
