Rock Bailey, nineteen and a half, lives in Los Angeles. He promised himself he would not lose his virginity until he is 20 years old. But one night at the Zooty Slammer nightclub he is drugged, abducted and locked naked in a room with a young woman determined to make him break his vows.

Rock resists, and men then administer electric shocks to him. When he comes to his senses, he is, with all his belongings, on the side of a road. Rock decides with his friend Gary to investigate...

Choices matter ! On a mid-term basis your choices when talking to people could help or disadvantage you along each chapter.

Encounter new characters and win fights against them. The game is punctuated by a dozen of turn-based fights with timing system to perform critical success.

La Poule Noire has launched a kickstarter campaign for To Hell With the Ugly, looking to raise $58,644.

This is the second game made by La Poule Noire, creator of Edgar - Bokbok in Boulzac and it is with great joy and pride that we are going to adapt the novel To Hell With The Ugly by the famous French author Boris Vian.

The environments and characters are constructed with colour planes reminiscent of the colour-field painting movement, which is characterized by large canvases where colour planes dominate and surface details are rare.

Filters create a vintage feel and bring a scratched and flayed look like old posters, harking back to the aesthétics of the 50's. Retro fonts can also be used for the UI.

The music is very inspired by the American 50's with Jazz, Blues and the early Rock of Elvis. The brass instruments will be the driving force behind the music of the game to bring rhythm to the battle scenes and intensity to the story.

To Hell With the Ugly is in development for Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC, scheduled for release in 2022.
