Travel through time into the future where technology has advanced to the point where artificial intelligence and cybernetic modifications have gained a physical presence in general society. As cybernetics and artificial intelligence has been banned from conventional sports, a strong desire for competitive entertainment has flourished amongst people.

Super Buckyball Tournament is steadily rising up through the underground in every nation around the world to fill this competitive desire stored deep within us all. This no-holds-barred hybrid of soccer and basketball fully embraces a changing cyberpunk world by allowing gadgets and superpowers to augment the action. Rip across the field as four champions from a growing roster, strategically employ game-changing abilities and ultimates, and destroy the competition.

Pathea Games announced that Super Buckyball Tournament will open its Preseason open test on Steam, with the servers opening today.

Each match has two teams, with three players, whose can choose between six playable characters, each one with your particular set of skills. The team that scores more goals is the winner. Besides that, the characters can be customized with cosmetic items that will be received after gaining some experience points.

In addition to the six characters, two stadiums and mission system featured during the game’s open alpha earlier this year, preseason content will include new challenger Samba, two Arcade modes (Dodgeball mode and Mayhem mode), a new lobby, in-game background music, a comprehensive collection of skins (which includes accessories and player icons), and a season pass with 60 levels. Fans will be able to level up their season pass by completing daily and weekly challenges and earning special rewards.

“Speed, strategy and intensity are at the forefront of our minds as we tinker away on the next esports smash hit,” says Dylan Li, Producer of Super Buckyball Tournament. “The upcoming preseason will help us further transform this 3v3 physics-based contest into the action-packed, high-adrenaline version we’d like to share with the world next year.”

This trial period of Super Buckyball Tournament will serve as a thermometer for the implementation of future tournaments and rewards, in addition to testing the functionality of its servers. This preseason will run for two weeks, until December 6th. It will be attended by youtubers, streamers and famous players from different parts of the world, such as the United States, Russia, India, Spain and Brazil. The matches will be broadcast on their respective channels on platforms such as Twitch, YouTube and Facebook Gaming.

Super Buckyball Tournament’s preseason is set to begin on November 19th at 4 AM PST and run until December 6th at 12 AM PST. SBT is expected to launch into early access during the first half of 2021 on Steam and is planned to come on console platforms such as Nintendo, PlayStation and Xbox with the full release.
