'Tekken 7' (ALL) Rolls Out Season Pass 4 DLCs Tomorrow - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on Nov. 9, 2020 @ 8:37 a.m. PST

Tekken 7 returns to its gameplay roots with classic 1 vs 1 bouts and its canon storyline centered on the eternal struggle for power amongst the members of the Mishima clan.

With newcomer Kazumi Mishima joining the fight, the epic battle between father and son, and also husband and wife, will come to its fated conclusion in Tekken 7. The supposedly killed wife of the main protagonist of the series, Heihachi Mishima, is also the mother of Kazuya Mishima. Her powers will be key to understand the feud between Heihachi Mishima, his son Kazuya Mishima and his grandson Jin Kazama. The conclusion of the Mishima clan saga is sure to be dark, but also sweet for early PlayStation fans as the origins of the Devil Gene, among other Tekken mysteries, will finally be unveiled.

Powered by Unreal Engine 4, Tekken 7 sets a new standard in graphics quality for the series, featuring highly detailed characters and dynamic environments. In its first appearance on home systems, Tekken 7 features numerous modes and enhancements beyond its arcade counterpart, including an in-depth story mode that lets players fully experience the canon storyline. Players will also be able to check out new fighters Kazumi Mishima, Claudio, Josie, Shaheen, Katarina, Lucky Chloe, Gigas, and more for the first time outside of the arcade.

The next content update for Tekken 7 is arriving tomorrow, November 10th, ushering the entry of Kunimitsu as a new playable character and a new playable stage with the Vermilion Gates.

This latest update will also feature enhancements in game balancing, new moves, revamped user interface, rank system renewal - including a new rank of Tekken God Omega, Tekken Prowess performance tracking, online gameplay improvements, and a fun PAC-MAN 40TH anniversary collaboration which features a PAC-MAN stage (playable for a limited time) and numerous PAC-MAN themed customization items.

DLC 16 will add Kunimitsu to the fight! Her last official appearance in a Tekken game was in Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Her return will surely excite fans looking to wield her Manji Ninjutsu skills in battle!

With DLC 17, players will get the opportunity to experience Vermilion Gates, a brand-new stage to release their most stylish combos!

Along with Kunimitsu and the Vermilion Gates updates, there will be an array of free updates coming to Tekken 7, including:

  • New Moves: All Tekken 7 characters will be receiving new moves to add to their arsenal of martial arts skills.
  • Updated UI: More streamlined user interface
  • Online Play Enhancements: Response improvement / Wi-Fi indicator
  • Tekken Prowess: A new way for players to see their Tekken skills through points scoring. Tekken Prowess is calculated through a player’s highest owned rank, total rank of all characters, play stats, and the number of matches played.
  • Rank System Renewal: A new top level rank will be added to Tekken 7; those who reach this new highest level rank will be given the title of “TEKKEN GOD OMEGA”.

Tekken 7 is available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
