Enad Global 7 Acquires Daybreak Game Company

Enad Global 7 (EG7) confirmed that it has entered into an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in MMORPG video game developer Daybreak Game Company.

EG7 is a family of companies within the gaming industry that develops, markets, publishes and distributes PC, console and mobile games to the global gaming market. Daybreak will further strengthen and broaden the EG7 portfolio of engaging games and IPs, in addition to bringing in several strong teams both on development, operations and strategy.

The $300 million deal consists of a cash payment and newly issued shares in EG7.

Daybreak is a San Diego based leading MMORPG video game developer and publisher. Daybreak possesses globally recognized third party IPs combined with valuable original IPs. Third party IPs include DC, Lord of the Rings™ and Dungeons & Dragons®. Original IPs include EverQuest, H1Z1® and PlanetSide. The company has expertise in free-to-play and games as a service business models and has approximately 178 million total registered users.

Enad Global 7 employs 170+ game developers and develops its own original IP:s, as well as act as consultants to other publishers around the world through its game development divisions Toadman Studios, Big Blue Bubble and Antimatter Games. In addition, the group's marketing department Petrol has contributed to the release of 1,500+ titles, of which many are world famous brands such as Call of Duty, Destiny, Dark Souls and Rage. The group's publishing and distribution department Sold Out holds expertise in both physical and digital publishing and has previously worked with Team 17, Rebellion and Frontier Developments.
