With the new Battle 64 mode, players will automatically be placed in one of many areas at the start of each match, and must battle it out against other players in the same area. Areas will begin to close down as the clock ticks and players must pass through the gates to the other remaining areas before the timer runs out!

Those who make it to the last remaining area must battle it out to become the last one standing!!

Super Bomberman R Online is also one of the first titles to take full advantage of Stadia’s Crowd Play feature that allows players to jump into a game with their favorite streamers on YouTube.

Finally, the game will feature greater customization options including numerous characters (including those from SBR and other Konami IPs), costumes, accessories and for the first time, bomb skins – affecting both the bomb and the blast itself.

Konami announced that Super Bomberman R Online is now available for any level user to play for free on Stadia.

With this update, all Stadia users will have access to the play for free version of Super Bomberman R Online, immediately allowing players the ability to hop in to 64 player Bomberman action. Players will still have the option to purchase the Premium Pack add-on content for $9.99.

Alongside the base game, the Premium Pack allows players to freely play with any of the 14 additional characters, each equipped with special types and abilities. In addition to the ability to create private matches with friends, Super Bomberman R Online also delivers more than 100 customizable feature combinations, with numerous characters (including those from SBR and other KONAMI IPs), costumes, accessories and for the first time, bomb skins – affecting both the bomb and the blast itself.

Select users will also be able to take full advantage of Crowd Play beta, a feature that allows players to jump into a game with their favorite streamers on YouTube.

Super Bomberman R Online will launch for Google Stadia on September 1, 2020.
