The Panzer Corps series has built an impressive following over recent years and allowed many players, old and new, to experience a type of wargame that was equally approachable and challenging. It managed to reinvent a format while keeping it true to its origins.
The release of Panzer Corps also marked the return of a long-neglected gaming formula, which still had a large and loyal following. Its spectacular success brought an almost forgotten genre back into fashion, it inspired multiple clones and literally gave new life to an entire market.
After over five years of expansions, mods, challenges and tournaments, a brand-new installment of the franchise is ready to take the strategy gaming segment by storm again. This time, with even bigger ambitions.
The move to a fully 3D engine is a natural evolution of the game, but the core gameplay will always remain true to its roots: pay tribute to the classic gameplay of a distant golden age of strategy gaming, refine it, perfect it and use the most recent technologies to enhance these experiences and bring them to a new generation of gamers. In other words, strike the perfect balance between tradition and innovation, both in visuals and gameplay.
Easy to play and at the same time extremely deep, its fine-tuned turn-based gameplay style means that it’s the quality of your decisions, not the speed of clicking, which will determine the outcome of your battles. Don’t outpace your enemies, outsmart them!

You can play for every major power in the European theatre of the Second World War, and unleash over a whopping 1000 unique different units on your enemies! Panzer Corps 2 comes with a massive branching campaign including around 60 scenarios: lead the Wehrmacht in the entirety of World War II, carrying over your battle-hardened veterans from one battle to the next. 10 additional single player scenarios are available and another 10 scenarios carefully designed for a balanced Multiplayer experience. On top of that there is an advanced random map generator for Skirmish mode, offering six distinct map types and four mission types.
Challenge your friends or play on coop against the AI. Panzer Corps 2 offers a wide range of Multiplayer options: hot seat, server-assisted play-by-email (Slitherine’s PBEM++) mode, and a true online Multiplayer. In the latter mode it is even possible to play your turns simultaneously with your coop partner, which basically reduces waiting times to zero!
Modding was always big with Panzer Corps series. For this reason, Panzer Corps 2 includes the most powerful Scenario Editor we have ever created, which is also very user friendly and easy to use. Using the Editor, you can create your own campaigns, single scenarios and multiplayer maps in no time, or you can enjoy content created by fellow players. If the prequel game is any indication, literally hundreds of user-made scenarios will be available for Panzer Corps 2 in no time, for unlimited replayability!

- New game mechanics in Panzer Corps 2 include:
- Splitting units. You can split a single unit in two smaller detachments
- Overrun. Tanks can push through destroyed units and carry on their blitzkrieg
- Encirclements. Cut enemy units off from their supply centres to form isolated pockets where units won’t be able to receive reinforcements or ammo supplies.
- Capturing enemy equipment. You can use enemy units against their former owners!
- Unique Commander and Hero abilities. Like in an RPG, you can select initial traits (even negative ones) for your General, and attach heroes to units to give them game changing abilities.
- New systems for aerial and naval warfare. Fighters and Bombers fly sorties out of their home bases, returning to them at the start of each turn. If you want to reach more distant objectives, you will need to conquer enemy airfields and move your squadrons there.
- Configurable undo system. Choose how you want the undo system to work in your game. Allow yourself to undo every action (including attacks!) or limit yourself to only a few uses per mission (or none if you’re a true Field Marshal!)
Panzer Corps 2 will be released for PC on March 19, 2020.
