To heighten the stakes of competitive mecha combat, the game will feature online battle modes as well as a two-player Split Screen mode and a LAN (local area network) Connection Battle mode, allowing for multiple means of battling friends and foes online and offline.

Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme vs. Maxiboost On offers 1–4 player online co-op and 2-on-2 PVP play. The title will feature Japanese voiceover with English subtitles.

In anticipation of the upcoming launch, a Closed Beta Test will be hosted for Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme vs. Maxiboost On from April 25–27 on PlayStation 4.
