Gameforge Celebrates World Health Day With In-Game Events and Unlockables Across Its Lineup

by Rainier on April 7, 2020 @ 8:42 a.m. PDT

Gameforge is proud to announce today that it is celebrating World Health Day by joining the #PlayApartTogether initiative to help slow the spread of COVID-19 by keeping gamers at home and entertained.

Gameforge and its development partners will host a series of exciting events and offer free in-game items within several of their most popular games, from April 7, 2020, until Easter Monday.

By joining the #PlayApartTogether initiative, Gameforge is following the lead of the world’s biggest game publishers to support the World Health Organization’s guidelines for physical distancing, encouraging its fans across the world to stay home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Gameforge aims to do its part by treating its lasting global communities from its catalog of popular free-to-play titles with a bevy of in-game rewards, special events, XP boosts, bonuses, and more — to ultimately help players cope and distract themselves from the crisis while safe at home.

“During these challenging times of uncertainty, when it is so risky to go outside, we are happy to provide alternate worlds where people can come together to socialize, interact, and have fun from the safety of their homes,” said Alexander Rösner, CEO and Founder of Gameforge. “We are thankful to have such wonderful development partners and industry peers who make it possible to join the #PlayApartTogether cause.”

Starting today, World Health Day celebrations arrive in the following Gameforge titles:

Metin2

Europe’s most successful MMORPG Metin2, which treats its thousands of active daily players with frequent content updates and in-game events, kicks off Gameforge’s World Health Day celebrations and support for the #PlayApartTogether initiative. Starting today, players can jump into Metin2 and obtain free health-conscious items from the shop and optionally join the new servers started today.

To honor healthcare workers worldwide who are at the frontlines of the pandemic, Metin2 players can equip themselves with a new Breathing Mask and First-Aid Suitcase, which are both unlockable during the event. Together, the two items may bring awareness to the importance of self-care and the value of healthcare professionals.

AION

NCsoft’s beloved fantasy MMORPG AION invites players to keep their heroes healthy! Starting today until April 21, 2020, all players will receive a complimentary care package upon login, featuring a Gold Pack, an Ultimate Transformation Potion, a new event Title Card, a Goldsqueak health recovery item, and Recovery Tea. Heroes must stay in top physical condition if they’re going to succeed!

TERA

Players of the intense fantasy action MMORPG TERA have a special package waiting for them in their in-game mailbox. Praise be the Gods and Goddesses!

From today until April 14, 2020, a blessed bundle of items will be gifted to each player after login: 50 Health Potions, 10 Goddess’ Blessing, a 100% XP Boost (lasting 30 Days), 2000 Fashion Coupons, one Infinity Coin, and the “Care and Use of Your Pet Miss Kitty” summon book.

NosTale

Gameforge’s thrilling Anime-Action MMORPG NosTaleoffers players a free item bundle in the NosMall if they log into the game and claim it between today and April 14, 2020. The bundle includes the super-adorable and rare pet "Centaurio Bushi" and 100x “NosMate Guardian Angels" to protect the new companion. Easter Event celebrations also see the return of Easter-themed costumes, items, missions — available until April 29, 2020.

To flatten the infection curve and save lives, as many people as possible must stay indoors so as to not expose themselves and others to the virus. To learn more about physical distancing and how to protect yourself from COVID-19, please go here
