'Hammerting' Reveals More Game Details, Targets 2020 Release Date - Trailer

Manage a clan of colorful dwarves, establish an epic mining operation, craft legendary swords and delve deep for greater glory, vast riches... and untold danger!

In Hammerting you establish a small dwarven mining colony in the unexplored mountains of Mara, level up your characters and industrialize with drills, robots, and lifts, delve deeper, fight enemies, and, of course, ensure there’s always enough ale on tap.

With a war raging on the surface, the dwarves pledge to delve deep and, as the master craftspeople they are, produce and supply whatever is needed. From humble beginnings, you start with a few, hurried dwarves who need to set up operations. Ultimately, your small clan of dwarves will be known throughout the Upper Realms for their skill, and the base will span kilometers.

The lush, vivid visuals make you go “Hot damn!”, and its dwarves yell “Damn, hot!” as they delve fervently into the mountain’s fiery depths. War rages on the surface. Only by supplying legendary items, crafted using the most blistering magma, can triumph be ensured.

Hammerting features multi-faceted gameplay mechanics, combining crafting and deep base building with combat and exploration as players manage a colony of industrious dwarves fighting to survive in the dangerous cavernous depths underneath the Mountains of Mara.

Players will be tasked with helping the colony as it strives to develop and craft new weapons to help aid their Overworld allies during an epic war against evil; during the course of Hammerting, they will face unique challenges, from goblin raids on their caverns to traversing the darkest corners for the most valuable ores to loot.

“Development on Hammerting continues at pace, and we’re very excited to share more details on the game. The unique combination of gameplay we’re building will really offer a deep level of immersion for players looking to oversee and manage every aspect of the dwarf colony’s goal to help in the war effort," said Warpzone Studios CEO Linda Zetterman.

Hammerting combines some of the very best and popular features of management, strategy, and RPG games into one unique and compelling experience. The team at Warpzone Studios is working hard to deliver a game that captures the imagination of everybody who has ever wondered how the dwarves help deliver decisive victories in the high-fantasy realm,” commented Team17 Producer Paul Longley.

Key Features:

  • You may find yourself having to craft oodles of silver swords against an oncoming vampire army, or a single Legendary Diamond-Encrusted Gold Crown of Divine Ruling +3 for an Elf princess’s coronation.
  • As your dwarves increase in skill and your base expands, build conveyor belts and elevators to free them from manual labor.
  • Vastly different biomes with distinct looks, creatures, plants, locations and events.
  • Explore huge maps, farm and harvest plants, attack or use indigenous creatures to your advantage.
  • The dwarves are always going down, down, down to find the most powerful materials and the rarest treasures.
  • Figuring out the fastest and safest route down - and up again - is a chief concern, but you’ll have plenty of unique dwarven mechanisms to help you do so.
  • Features liquid and physics mechanics for brewing beer, tossing torches down shafts to light up the unknown, and much more.
  • Dwarves are generated with a host of traits and one dwarf is never like another. The player must manage their strengths, weaknesses, and interactions.
  • Dwarves have goals they are keen to fulfill, goals that may not always align with the player’s.
  • Events in a dwarf’s life can give them new abilities and traits.
  • Modding Support: Extend the game with art, scripts, or even low-level C++.
  • Co-op that lets you manage your colony with friends.

Hammerting is in development for PC and scheduled for a Steam launch later this year.
