Ninjala is a morphing ninja gum action game that allows players to blow bubble gum to craft weapons and use the unconventional fighting method ninjutsu. Adapting to different landscapes, players must use lightning fast reflexes and super parkour mechanics to combat and counter their opponents. The game brings a new era to the world of ninjas through online battles against other players.
These young descendants of ancient ninja clans wield a variety of special items and abilities, highlighted by the use of distinctive “Ninja-Gum” weapons.
Players can take on the game in an 8 Player Battle Royale, a free-for-all ninja conquest.
Originally planned for release on May 27, 2020, Ninjala has been pushed a month, now scheduled for June 24, 2020.
GungHo Online Entertainment announced that the release of their upcoming arena brawler, Ninjala, will be delayed until June 24, 2020. COVID-19 shutdowns have slowed the development process and GOE will no longer be launching the game on May 27.
“Ninjala is near completion, but we are significantly limited in how quickly we can work to test and finalize the game when we cannot be in the same room,” said Kazuki Morishita, President & CEO of GOE. “Although we are working hard to launch Ninjala and release it to our fans, the health and safety of our employees is paramount. We apologize to our Ninjala fans who were eagerly anticipating its launch, and we ask for your understanding as we work to bring you the best game we can in this additional month.”
Ninjala is designed by Takeshi Arakawa, former Senior Director and Co-Producer of the Dissidia: Final Fantasy series and Planning Director of The World Ends With You, and Kazuki Morishita, Executive Producer of Puzzle & Dragons and LET IT DIE.
Ninjala will be released worldwide as a free download on the Nintendo Switch eShop starting June 24, 2020.
