'ER Pandemic Simulator' Announced - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on June 2, 2020 @ 8:20 a.m. PDT

See what it's like to work at a Hospital Emergency Ward when a pandemic attacks the whole world. Become a doctor: Help patients, diagnose them, isolate, and save their lives. At the same time, try to keep your own.

In ER Pandemic Simulator you have a basic health encyclopedia where you can learn about the symptoms of various diseases. And based on a brief examination, medical history and patient responses, you will be diagnosing the disease. Also, remember that people often do not tell the whole truth or sometimes even lie in such situations.

When the medical history alone is not sufficient for diagnosis, perform additional examinations. You will have a laboratory, ultrasound, ECG, X-ray, CT, MRI and more.

You must be very careful to capture all the patients infected with a new virus and isolate them as soon as possible. And when a virus attacks with all its power, the practice acquired in a more peaceful time will prove invaluable.

During a pandemic, supplies of medicines, personal protective equipment and available beds will run out very quickly. Control their quantity, order additional supplies of equipment and medicines. You can call the army for help – they’ll put tents near the hospital and help you save patients. But remember, it's the military: “Private, don't lie around waiting for an ambulance, just do push-ups.”

Your shift is no longer 8 hours - you are now working all the time. Remember to find a moment to sleep and eat. And most importantly, you must be careful not to get infected yourself.
After all, so much depends on you!

"Many people in a crisis ask themselves what the situation on the frontline looks like. Today, this frontline is healthcare and emergency departments. We’re going to answer that question via our latest video game, faithfully reproducing the hard work of a doctor. The classic Theme Hospital showed the hospital in a crooked mirror, in an isometric view. ER Pandemic Simulator will do it in all seriousness, in the first-person perspective," says Movie Games CEO Mateusz Wcześniak.

Part of the game’s revenue will be transferred to COVD-19 and other worldwide pandemics relief funds in the future. The fight against the deadly viruses requires extraordinary unity and involvement.

"As a game publisher, who indirectly benefits from a lock-down, a gaming spike amid the quarantine, who participate in all-time records for Steam concurrent users, we feel obligated to contribute to this fight. Symbolic, by showing doctors’ devotion, and financial, by supporting people who need it most," comments Wcześniak.

Ten percent of ER Pandemic Simulator’s revenue will be pledged to COVID-19 relief efforts - split between the World Health Organization and Polish hospitals. We believe our humble donation to those funds will support long-term relief during one of the most challenging times we have ever faced.
