'Occupy Mars: The Game' Free Prologue Demo Tomorrow

by Rainier on June 29, 2020 @ 8:20 a.m. PDT

Occupy Mars: The Game is a survival game with an open world, in which the player's task is to survive in a difficult environment and allow the colonization of the Red Planet.

Have you ever dreamt about visiting Mars? There are so many things to see and discover on the Red Planet, so many exciting technologies to be created, so many challenges to overcome! Humanity can do this and become a multi-planetary civilisation!

Occupy Mars: The Game takes us to the distant surface of the Red Planet, which we not only have to examine, but also prepare for colonization. Building functional base and maintaining its condition, discovering new technologies and their successful development or exploring uncharted territories are only a part of the activities that player will be tasked with. The Mars expedition brings as many possibilities, as threats. The biggest challenges for the players will be not only harsh climate and dangerous atmospheric abnormalities, but also the need to satisfy the basic life needs.

Among many peculiar Martian challenges, we will also have to find the right place to build a living space. Because of the extremely difficult living conditions, our base will require many repairs and upgrades. The colony which we are going to build needs to be precisely thought through. If we want to bring more people here - nothing can be missed.

As of tomorrow (June 30), Pyramid Games will provide the free prologue of Occupy Mars: The Game that Occupy Mars is looking for.

As part of the Steam Festival, which took place on June 16-22, a short demo of Occupy Mars: The Game, with a separate smaller story, was made available, the action of which takes place before the events in Occupy Mars: The Game. After the end of Steam Festival, the demo was replaced by an improved game prologue.

The developers encourage everyone to test and test themselves in Mars conditions. Feedback collected from players will also help to complete and improve the full version of the game and plan its release.

Key Features:

  • Build and upgrade your base, make sure that there is enough water, oxygen, power and food to survive. Build greenhouses, oxygen tanks, fuel generators, connect all the pipes and cables, remember about proper cable management.
  • Fix broken parts using realistic electronic components and tools. Learn basics of smd, soldering, using hotair, electronic measurement tools and all the details necessary to fix your equipment.
  • Explore different regions of Mars in search for valuable resources, discover mining sites and find the best place to build a city. Remember that you need to find a relatively levelled area with good access to underground water in place where temperatures don't drop too much during the night.
  • Experience open world, sandbox game with realistic day / night cycle and overcome real challenges that colonists have to face. Build solar arrays and batteries for energy storage, upgrade them and find the optimal way to power your colony.
  • Occupying Mars is not always fun and games. Sometimes things will explode, break or go not exactly as planned. Learn to cope with "Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly". Sometimes you have to really act quickly before you run out of air, food or energy.
  • Upgrade your vehicles and equipment in your garage. Organise your workshop and modify your rover. Change crane hydraulics, operate the robotic arm, dig for valuable resources, build mining rigs and more...

Occupy Mars: The Game will release in Steam Early Access later this year (2020)
