'Inertial Drift' (ALL) Gets Delayed

by Rainier on July 15, 2020 @ 3:57 p.m. PDT

Inertial Drift is an intense 1-on-1 arcade racer that completely re-engineers drifting by introducing twin-stick controls!

Speed along stunning tracks in the pink Japanese sunset with a fighting-game-like roster of 16 unique cars, drivers and techniques.

Inertial Drift features an intuitive twin stick control scheme to make drifting easy and accessible for new players while also providing depth for more experienced players.

Players have independent control over steering and drifting using the right and left sticks allowing for precise control over their car’s position and orientation. The handling properties of cars are influenced by the application of throttle and brakes, with each car reacting in a unique way. This makes each car a new puzzle to explore and master.

Utilize these skills in various race modes, style mode and local multiplayer.

Originally planned for August 7, 2020, Inertial Drift is now coming to Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC on Sept. 11, 2020.

"A few things took longer than we had hoped but we're in the home stretch now and really excited to get you all playing the full game."

Key Features:

  • Twin-stick drifting: Twice the controls, twice the control! A completely new level of precision allows for drifts a hair's breadth away from the crash barrier, making every turn intense!
  • 16 different driving styles: Every character and their car in Inertial Drift have an unique driving style! Pick your favourite technique or master all of them to become the ultimate racer!
  • 90s Retro-Future setting: 20 tracks, flooded by the lights of pink Japanese sunset and vibrant neon-cities, set the stage for thrilling chases!
  • Intense 1-on-1 racing: Scaling the races down to duels adds excitement to every face-off, giving you an adrenaline boost every time you see headlights in your back mirror and hear the music pick up!

Inertial Drift is coming to Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC on September. 11, 2020, both as digital download and physical retail edition.
