World of Tanks: Mercenaries is World of Tanks’ largest and most encompassing expansion of single- and multiplayer content for the beloved armor-themed World War II massively multiplayer online game.

World of Tanks: Mercenaries plunges players into a terrifying new reality, where history has been rewritten and law and order ceases to exist. Endless wars have left the world fractured, and in the vacuum of power left by the destabilization of global powers, soldiers and civilians now fight for themselves. World of Tanks: Mercenaries invites players across the globe to join the fight; anyone can be a hero in the age of Mercenaries.

World of Tanks: Mercenaries introduces a brand new Mercenaries “nation” and a full tech tree of never-before-seen combat vehicles, giving players access to a fascinating armada of powerful tanks, helmed by unique Mercenary crews. The new suite of tanks in World of Tanks: Mercenaries are comprised of parts scavenged from vehicles from different nations, becoming original war machines tailored to the traits and needs of the new Mercenary characters. Five vehicles will be available at launch, and as their notoriety across the world’s changed landscape grows, so too will the Mercenary nation.

Beginning today through Monday, September 21, SummerSlam brings an exclusive new season pass featuring WWE inspired tanks, legendary Superstar collectible crews, new garages and much more to World of Tanks players on PlayStation and Xbox.

As part of the new season, players will have the chance to command five legendary Superstar Collector Tanks inspired by WWE Superstars The Undertaker and Becky Lynch, as well as WWE Hall of Famers Andre the Giant, Sgt. Slaughter plus “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, who will be free for all players!

Players will also be given the ability to experience their own redesigned WWE Garage – including epic Superstar introductions for their vehicles, unique visuals for each Premium Collector Tank, and two sets of crew chests that will include the aforementioned five Superstars and Legends to start in addition to Roman Reigns, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels in August. 

Update 5.0 will also introduce cross-play between PlayStation 4 and Xbox one users, giving players the opportunity to pit their skills against one another in an expanded player base with quicker matchmaking speeds across all tiers. For real-time-strategy fans, the popular Commander mode returns allowing players to get a different angle on the intense tank fighting and tactics.

Players can immerse themselves in the alternative history setting of World of Tanks: Mercenaries by taking on the riveting new PvE story campaign, The Heist. This action-packed tale of espionage follows a motley crew of Mercenaries contracted to set up, execute and escape from a raid on a secret war facility. Their mission is to steal nuclear material for a client who harbors his own atomic ambitions, but the crew soon finds itself at the mercy of the combined powers of the United States and the Soviet Union. Players can expect adrenaline-fueled tank battles as they tackle this story alone – like a true Mercenary – or band together with friends for co-operative online multiplayer action!

In addition to the new story campaign, the Mercenaries has a far-reaching impact across the entire game, with the addition of new maps to Multiplayer battles. Players can expect to explore and fight through an array of fan-favorite maps ravaged by war and time, with original Mercenary vehicles available to battle with or against the game’s existing roster of over 680 vehicles.
