Banners Of Ruin is a turn-based card battler where you assemble your party, answer the call, win the war.

Build a deck and fight a series of turn-based combats with up to 6 party characters through the city of Dawn's Point. Each character can unlock a set of unique cards and abilities that can augment your deck in powerful, exciting ways.

The Blackfoots have been dealt a mighty blow by the fearsome House Ender - you must infiltrate their defenses and cut out the rot. It’s a deadly game of thrones for the Blackfoots, now a shadow of their former self, as they rise to oppose House Ender and the ruin that follows its path. Some will die along the way - but there will always be others to carry the torch of the Blackfoots! Just dust yourself off and try again!

Characters loyal to your cause have a set of unique cards and abilities that may augment your deck in powerful, exciting ways. Defeat each of the elite opponents in your path to the city's Guard Captain and cripple the Enders at their core. You and your brethren may fall at this attempt, but there will always be others to carry the torch. House Blackfoot will remember, and they will never relent. Encounter a series of scenarios as you travel through the city which may help you, but at the expense of some moral ground.

Banners of Ruin is available through Steam Early Access on July 30, 2020.

“We are big fans of deck builder games and wanted to add our own twist to the genre”, says Callum Tweedie-Walker - Developer & Environment Artist from Montebearo. “The setting and story is quite gritty and a little dark, but tempered slightly by our cast of anthropomorphic animal characters. Gameplay-wise we wanted to further emphasise this twist, which is why you can form your own party of 6 members, from Beavers and Bears to Wolves and Weasels. The abilities of the animal types combined with the card battle system makes for a deep gaming experience.”

Banners of Ruin is launching Early Access because we want to foster a community whilst we improve and fine tune the game. In it's current state, the game is fun, challenging and complex. There's a lot of room for polish and we have tons of ideas for content and features over the course of this period, however our top priority is to deliver a very solid and unique Deckbuilding experience which means we want to hear from you! We'd be delighted to see what players do and what strategies they employ, what cards they dislike and which ones they love!”

“The final game will feature a larger pool of cards, character passives and campaign scenarios than those in the Early Access period.”
