For the next week, the Epic Games Store is offering three titles for free: Remnant: From the Ashes, The Alto Collection, and 3 out of 10, Ep. 2.

Remnant: From the Ashes

The world is in ruins. Only a remnant of mankind remains, hunted to near extinction by horrors from another world. As one of the few survivors left, you will venture into portals to fantastic realms to gather the resources and firepower needed to fight back and retake what was lost.

The game transports players to a bleak future where Earth has been overrun by extra-dimensional beings. Humanity's last hope for survival is to flee to alternate dimensions for safety, and to uncover what these mysterious beings are after.

Remnant: From the Ashes is a third-person survival-action game set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by mythical creatures.

Players build characters to suit their individual play-style and survive the perils of diverse and deadly environments, alone or alongside a team of up to three other players. Remnant: From the Ashes challenges players to test their limits in intense combat against over 100 deadly monsters and over 20 epic bosses across dynamically-generated levels that offer endless worlds to explore. To increase their chances of survival, players will build a wicked arsenal to wield and upgrade through a flexible gear-centric progression system.

The game offers unique, customizable gameplay experience filled with intense shooting, melee combat, gear and weapon crafting, character progression, deadly enemies, epic bosses and dynamically-generated levels that offer an infinite number of ways to explore.

Once Remnant: From the Ashes, The Alto Collection and 3 out of 10, Ep. 2: Foundation 101, the current free games on the Epic Games Store, have run their course, it will be up to Enter the Gungeon and God's Trigger, which will be gratis starting August 20 until August 27, 2020.

God's Trigger

God's Trigger is a top-down co-op action game.

God's Trigger puts players into the bloodstained shoes of two badass heroes: Harry, a fallen angel, and Judy, a demon. The devilishly-dynamic duo’s goal is to stop the apocalypse in the most excessively brutal and bombastic way possible — and two heroes means twice the possibility for ostentatious mayhem. Players will be able to switch freely between characters at any moment in the solo campaign to strategically utilize their unique strengths and weapons, or team up with a real-life partner-in-crime to ensure the violent demise of their enemies via couch co-op.

In the world of God's Trigger, survival depends on the ability to make split-second decisions, and massacre enemies with a variety of guns, melee weapons, special abilities and environmental traps throughout visually spectacular bloodbaths. Prepare for unforgivingly intense, brutal action where just one pull of the trigger is enough to kill the enemy—or you.

Enter the Gungeon

Enter the Gungeon is a gun fighting dungeon crawler where players control of one of several misfits, each of whom are burdened by a deep regret.

Take on the role of one of several Gungeoneers, each haunted by their past and looking for a brighter tomorrow, as you Enter the Gungeon. Set your sights on the Cult of the Gundead as you blast through hand-designed chambers of the Gungeon's constantly evolving labyrinth of firepower.

Seek out the one gun above all other guns – the gun that can kill the past – while exploring and unlocking a variety of fantastical weapons that unleash everything from missiles, lasers and cannonballs to bizarrely effect a volley of rainbows, fish, foam darts and bees.  We're going to write that sentence again so that you can say it out loud, slowly:

...a volley of rainbows, fish, foam darts and bees.

The Alto Collection

Across the endless desert and atop an alpine expanse two journeys full of wonder await. Choose your path and set off on a thrilling snowboarding or sandboarding adventure with Alto & friends.

Join Alto and friends as they set out on the adventure of a lifetime.

Along the way you’ll pull off daring backflips, grind over rooftops and leap over vast chasms as you journey to discover what mysteries lie beyond the horizon.
