Sail across the icy North Sea to discover and conquer the broken kingdoms of England. In Assassin's Creed Valhalla, nearly every decision you make will have lasting effects throughout the world. Ubisoft celebrated the release of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s main theme with a new version of its announcement cinematic trailer. Featuring a remix of the main theme, the trailer follows Eivor, a fierce Viking raider, as she battles her way through King Aelfred's Saxon army.
Composed by Sarah Schachner and Jesper Kyd featuring Einar Selvik, the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla main theme will be the opening track to the “The Ravens Saga” EP, released digitally today by Lakeshore Records.
“The Ravens Saga” is the second seven-track EP taken from the official Assassin’s Creed Valhalla soundtrack. Featuring original compositions from Jesper Kyd, Sarah Schachner, and two original tracks by Einar Selvik, the EP is now available to stream on Spotify and purchase on iTunes.

On composing the main theme, Sarah Schachner said that, “We wanted the atmosphere of the theme to instantly transport the listener to another time and place, filled with mystery and uncertainty. There are Norse instruments, but they are used in a more modern way. The theme represents Eivor’s journey as well as the Vikings’ hope for a better life as they move further south into the Anglo-Saxon regions.”
Jesper Kyd added, “We wanted to evoke Eivor's journey, what drives them and the bond they have with their family. Eivor is searching for something and this longing to find it and resolve it is a key element reflected in the melody and mood.”
You wouldn’t be a Viking raider without raids, and Assassin's Creed Valhalla lets you lead surprise longship attacks to pillage enemy territories for much-needed resources, or launch massive assaults against rival Saxon strongholds. Raids will be more action-packed and brutal than anything Assassin’s Creed has seen before, thanks to a visceral new combat system that lets you bash, dismember, and decapitate your foes. Eivor will be able to dual-wield axes, swords, and even shields against the greatest variety of enemy types ever seen in Assassin’s Creed. And if you want to mix it up, the return of the Hidden Blade allows Eivor to assassinate targets with deadly precision.

The Ubisoft Store-exclusive Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Collector’s Edition will storm the shores this holiday season. With it comes the Ultimate Edition of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, as well as bonus game content and physical collectibles, including a high-end, 30cm-tall figurine depicting the fierce Viking warrior Eivor astride her longship as she leads her clan into battle. Other physical items in the Collector’s Edition include an exclusive Steelbook case, a 5cm statuette of Eivor with his raven and Dane axe, a selected soundtrack CD, and a set of three lithographs.
The Collector’s Edition comes with bonus in-game content as well, including the Season Pass and the Ultimate Pack, which features the Berserker Gear Pack, the Berserker Settlement Pack, the Berserker Longship pack, and a Set of Runes. If you pre-order the Collector’s Edition, you’ll also receive a bonus in-game mission called The Way of the Berserker. All Collector’s Editions will also come with a numbered certificate of authenticity.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will also release on Xbox Series X and PS5 upon the launch of the consoles. Players who purchase Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on Xbox One or PS4 will be able to upgrade their game to the next-gen version (Xbox Series X or PS5) at no additional cost.
