'Fortnite' (ALL) Celebrates Rocket League Going F2P With Llama-Rama event

by Rainier on Sept. 22, 2020 @ 10:35 a.m. PDT

Fortnite is an expansive original world that invites players to be creative, resourceful and collaborative, combining building skills and destructible environments with intense PvP combat.

In Fortnite, players and their friends lead a group of Heroes to reclaim and rebuild a homeland that has been left empty by a mysterious darkness only known as “the Storm.”

Players will band together online to explore the world for resources, build extravagant forts, find or build insane weapons and traps as they protect their towns from the strange monsters that emerge during the Storm.

Fortnite Battle Royale is the FREE 100-player PvP mode in Fortnite. One giant map. A battle bus.

The last one standing wins.

The Battle Bus has a full tank of boost and is flying into Rocket League! Fortnite is celebrating Rocket League’s move to Free to Play with Llama-Rama -- a crossover event where players can complete Rocket League Challenges to unlock rewards for both Rocket League and Fortnite. It’s the perfect time to check out what Soccar is all about!

Fortnite’s “Llama-Rama” celebration includes a concert from a Rocket League fan-favorite and cool, in-game rewards/items for both Fortnite and Rocket League!

Fortnite Presents: Spotlights - DJ Slushii

Today, Epic has announced that Rocket League fan-favorite, DJ Slushii, will be closing out the Fortnite Presents: Spotlight series with a performance at Party Royale. Whether players are tuning into Radio Yonder in-game or already playing Rocket League, they’ll instantly recognize his in-game track, “LUV U NEED U”.

DJ Slushii performs live from Party Royale on Saturday, September 26 @ 5:00 pm ET. Rebroadcasts are scheduled for September 26 @ 11pm ET and September 27 @ 1pm ET.

How to Claim Rewards

Going supersonic is a blast when you’re earning rewards. After completing Llama-Rama Challenges, players can view the Rocket League Event Challenge Page to redeem Rocket League rewards for completed Challenges. On the Fortnite side of things, players will receive Challenge rewards after logging into Fortnite after each Challenge is completed in Rocket League. You do not need to claim rewards in Fortnite to get your Fortnite items.

Note: Any completed but uncollected Challenges are auto-claimed when the event ends on October 12.

Fortnite is currently available for Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, PC, Android and iOS, while also coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X in the near future.
