'Traffic Jams' Delayed Until Q1 2021

by Rainier on Sept. 24, 2020 @ 7:45 p.m. PDT

Traffic Jams is a tongue-in-cheek VR game where all traffic lights have gone out and you are the only one who can keep traffic flowing in the face of outrageous events and flagrant road rage.

In a world without traffic lights, one reigns supreme. Step onto the crossroads as Danny – the world’s worst traffic controller – to keep traffic flowing in the face of outrageous events and flagrant road rage.

Starting out on a quiet corner in a small town, job offers soon start pouring in from iconic cities around the globe where it’s up to you to guide rude pedestrians, impatient drivers, and the occasional meteorite along before road rage strikes. Sound easy? Think again! This chaotic VR game is full of monsters, (un)natural disasters, and something called… ‘cheese bowling’?

Traffic moves at breakneck speed and making sure everyone gets to their destination on time can prove to be quite a challenge. Same thing for game development. With Traffic Jams, we aim to bring you a polished tongue-in-cheek VR experience and after careful consideration, we believe Traffic Jams needs more time to reach its full potential. Which is why we have made the difficult decision to move the release of Traffic Jams to Q1 2021.

We apologize for the delay. We'll use this time to deliver to you the best in traffic controlling gameplay, spiced up with crazy minigames, over-the-top setpieces, a multiplayer couch party mode and yes, even some crazy dance moves.

To make this jam more bearable, we’re launching a Developer Diary. Head over to the blog now for our first post about the Traffic Jams art style and stay tuned for more behind-the-scenes stories!

Traffic Jams will be coming to major VR platforms in Q1 2021.
