When you fire up your favorite game, you’re playing it instantly. That’s what it means to be Game Ready on GeForce NOW. The experience has been optimized for cloud gaming and includes Game Ready Driver performance improvements. NVIDIA manages the game updates and patches. And when a game supports RTX, you can play it on GeForce NOW with beautifully ray-traced graphics and DLSS 2.0.
The GeForce NOW library is ever-growing. In an effort to help spotlight the games that are coming to the service, we’re moving to a monthly cadence for announcing new instant access games. Games will continue to be released every week – with new game launches available day-and-date, and back catalog games released each Thursday – but our members, and your readers, will now be able to learn about what’s coming a little further in advance.
Below are the games we plan to release on GeForce NOW in January. It’s also worth noting that there may be a few surprises along the way as developers and publishers opt their games in.
Launching January 7 on Steam, Iron Conflict (Angela Game, Imperium Interactive Entertainment Limited) is an online competitive real-time strategy game that features both modern and WW2 aircrafts and tanks. Make use of military tactics and choose from hundreds of different units to win on the ground and in the air!
Scott Pilgrim vs the World: The Game – Complete Edition (Ubisoft), the game you know and love, is coming back to PC and GeForce NOW on January 14! Rediscover the beloved 2D arcade-style beat 'em up game inspired by the iconic comic book series and movie.
Slated to launch January 22 on Steam, Redout: Space Assault is an arcade space battle, coupling the trademark Redout adrenaline with the thrill of combat. Outsmart, outmaneuver, overpower and outclass your opponents in lightning-fast, adrenaline-inducing single-player space combat.
Expected to launch later this month, CODE2040 (Wanin International, Team Weaver Game Studio) is a multiplayer shooting game base on a team of three with heavy focus on teamwork and coordination.
In epic fashion, Epic Games Store rung in the holidays with the gift of great discounts and 15 days of free games. Before we broke for the holiday, we brought a few of the first free releases – Cities Skylines, My Time at Portia and Torchlight 2 – to the service. While they aren’t going to be new in January since they’re already on GeForce NOW, they were part of the 15 Days of Free Games available or coming to GeForce NOW.
With the game onboarding elves returning from their time spent in Santa’s Workshop, we’re adding even more of those free Epic Games Store games later this month. Members who claimed the games will be able to stream them for free, including:
- Jurassic World: Evolution
- Metro 2033: Redux
- Night in the Woods
- The Long Dark
- Tropico 5
Finally, no month of gaming is complete without some of the classics. Keep an eye out for the following games to come to GeForce NOW in January:
