It's time to trade in that bomber jacket and suit up for some snug red velour as the strategic simulation game Bomber Crew is getting a long-awaited sequel.

Space Crew will feature the same compelling gameplay loop as its beloved predecessor with players controlling the actions of their crew moment-to-moment in the minutiae of navigation, scanning and combat. The new space setting allows much more player freedom and campaign unpredictability with much greater mission variety and deeper strategic gameplay. 

Players will have to be more alert than ever when venturing through space and are challenged to protect their vulnerable crew from alien boardings, getting sucked out into space, running out of oxygen, system failures, ship fires and whatever else the campaign AI can throw at them from mission to mission. It is these moments of seeing your crew triumph over adversity time and time again, albeit with a few casualties along the way, which made the original Bomber Crew such a runaway hit and Runner Duck is aiming for similarly thrilling emergent storytelling in the sequel.

Curve Digital and Runner Duck announced that Space Crew is launching a Legendary Edition expansion across PC, Nintendo Switch,  Xbox One and PS4 on October 21, 2021 for £19.99 / $24.99 / €24.99, while existing Space Crew owners will be able to upgrade to Space Crew: Legendary Edition for free when it launches.

The vast new expansion is free to existing owners of Space Crew. It will include aeons of new content including the epic Android Ambush campaign and for the first time - the chance to take your crew off-ship onto stations, outposts and new vessels in Away Team missions. Featuring a new star-system to explore with new missions as well as a range of special features and gameplay experiences, the Legendary Edition expansion is the largest content expansion for any Crew game in the history of time and space.

Phasmid attacks, android armies, black holes, falling oxygen levels, incursions from other-worldly organisms, system failures and more are just some of the challenges crews will have to face head-on, with the AI always ready to chuck something dastardly into the mix.

Space Crew: Legendary Edition will feature:

• Away Team missions – Leave your ship and venture on foot for the first time with three of your crew onto outposts and large vessels in the all NEW Away Team missions. Selecting the right team will be critical for survival as Away Team missions consist of exploration, puzzles, or combat… sometimes even against the clock!
• Legendary Crew members - Build and personalise your ultimate crew by discovering and rescuing legendary crew members with amazing abilities and superior stats, to bolster your efforts against the enemy threat.
