In Gordian Quest players will be able to assemble the team of heroes of their choice and lead them through challenging missions while also strategically building their decks and assigning their heroes new attributes. Each of the heroes in Gordian Quest brings unique class skills and playstyles to their party. Players will be able to train their heroes and upgrade their abilities as well as equip them with weaponry and armor in order to take on the challenging missions that lie ahead. Each map and dungeon in Gordian Quest is procedurally generated, making each encounter different from the last. In order to survive players will need to react quickly and think strategically when forming their team.

In addition to bringing unique skills to the fray, heroes in Gordian Quest are able to form bonds. As players progress through their quest to save the land they’ll be able to discover and forge bonds of friendship, rivalry, mentorship or even love between their heroes, giving players access to powerful combo abilities. 

Featuring a unique blend of tactical turn-based combat and card battling, Gordian Quest will challenge players to position their heroes smartly while also strategically using the cards in their arsenal to keep the tide of battle in their favor. Each battlefield in Gordian Quest is divided into two sections, player side and enemy side. While players are on their side of the battlefield they’ll have freedom of movement in order to predict oncoming assaults from enemies and avoid them while also positioning their heroes to get the most impact when using their cards.

Indie game studio Mixed Realms has launched the latest major update for Gordian Quest, which brings new story content for the campaign, the long-awaited introduction of PvP, leaderboards, and additional gameplay improvements. 

Here’s what’s new in Gordian Quest’s big October update:

• Campaign Act 3: The third of four planned campaign acts is here, featuring new enemies, locations, NPCs, quests, and gameplay mechanics as your parties venture to the icy mountains of the Faded Peaks.
• Skirmish PvP Mode: Go head-to-head against other players in this competitive 1v1 experience pitting your team of three heroes against those of your opponents.
• Endless Realm Mode Leaderboards: Show your skills in weekly and all-time leaderboards for the Endless Realm Mode.
• New Realm Mode Bosses: Five new bosses join Realm Mode to create a more diverse and varied experience with each new run.
• Additional Gameplay Improvements: Discover 40 new Legendary items, a new node interaction type (Exploration), the ability to create higher tiers of runes, updated enemy AI and more.

Players can now begin their Gordian Quest as it is available on Steam Early Access for $19.99 $17.99.

Additional features and content planned for the full version:

• The completed game will feature four fully fleshed out Acts to explore - each with new heroes, skills, quests, relics, items and NPCs to discover. Each Act will introduce new gameplay mechanics that expand on and enrich the base game experience.
• More heroes - Encounter more heroes from all over the realm and form new party combos and relationships. We are anticipating adding at least 10-16 more heroes.
• Relationship system - Future development will introduce a unique system where bonds of friendship, rivalry, mentorship or even love among the heroes in the party can be uncovered to unlock secret combo abilities.
• Shape the course of your adventure - Align yourself with different factions, embark on side quests and eventually shape the course of your adventure with critical decisions.
• Endless mode - This special mode makes the game a perpetual adventure and allows you to keep on questing, slaying more monsters and collecting more heroes, skills, relics and weapons.
• PVP mode - Engage in skirmish fights with other players using your preferred mix of heroes and skills.
