Leveraging and adopting the best-in-class gunplay made popular by the original PUBG game, players can expect the same combat experience that is easy to learn, but hard to master. Additionally, thanks to its state-of-the-art Global Illumination rendering technology, the title features graphics that push the limits of mobile gaming so players can immerse themselves in a battlegrounds experience that is realistic and intense, but more importantly, stable and smooth.

In addition to taking the original experience that fans have grown to love, PUBG: New State adds several brand-new features that evolve the genre. With a new in-game weapon customization feature, players can make various weapons their own by obtaining customization kits. These kits will transform weapons in different ways, such as performance enhancements, fire mode selection, and grenade launcher attachments. Players can also enjoy a variety of other new features, including combat rolls, drones, and a futuristic ballistic shield, among other things. Finally, players will also be able to take to the road and explore massive 8x8 open worlds with a variety of new vehicles. 

Set in the near future of 2051, years have passed since the original game. Within this backdrop, players will be dropping into a brand-new battleground called TROI, where they will have the opportunity to discover how the universe has evolved. Filled with various landmarks that have their own distinct characteristics, players will be able to explore a unique environment that features interactable objects, helping them come up with new ways and strategies to dominate the competition. 

Following its launch late last week, PUBG: New State has surpassed 20 million downloads and ranked as the #1 “Top Game” on Google Play and the App Store in more than 165 countries*, including the U.S., South Korea, Japan, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and more.

Launch Celebration Events

To celebrate the launch of PUBG: New State, KRAFTON is hosting a series of global and regional events as a “thank you” for all the fans support the game received to date. See the details below. 

• Takedown: Troi: On Nov. 15 and Nov. 17, KRAFTON Americas will host TAKEDOWN: TROI, a new hybrid competition concept that features nine top NA PUBG: New State content creators. Instead of a traditional tournament, KRAFTON taps into what these influencers do best - create amazing content - and is merging that with a two-phase competition. Learn more HERE. 
• Play With Friends Campaign: Players who log into the game each day from Nov. 15 through Nov. 21 and participate in the “Play With Friends” event will have the chance to win the #NewStateStyle in-game emote and Chicken Medals, which players can use to exchange items from the in-game store. 

Those eager to join the fight can pre-register today on Google Play (get an exclusive vehicle skin), with App Store pre-orders coming at a later date. Prior to launching PUBG: New State this year, Krafton and PUBG Studio have also announced that they will conduct alpha tests in select countries during the second quarter of 2021.
