In Heavenly Bodies, you’re a brave cosmonaut, and it’s your sole duty to maintain Earth’s latest and proudest feat of space engineering.
Wrangle the hands and arms of space cosmonauts and push, pull and twist your way through a precarious range of physically-simulated stellar scenarios where, without gravity, nothing is still, nothing is secure, and nothing is simple.
On a good day, the beauty of weightlessness will shine through. You'll use your sharp mind and dexterous limbs to assemble space telescopes, maintain delicate solar arrays and research cosmic botany. On worse days you'll be missing gravity's embrace, when: the power is out, you're in the firing line of supersonic space debris and... there's a breadstick stuck in the emergency backup generator.
Wannabe cosmonauts, your time has come!
Indie Studio 2pt Interactive has announced that their gravity-defying space adventure Heavenly Bodies is coming to PS5, PS4 and PC via Steam on December 7, 2021.
“We've always been interested in the romantic portrayal of space travel from past decades. Heavenly Bodies is our attempt to capture the grandeur of this time against the nuance and humour of our awkward bodies in zero-gravity environments. The result is a game that looks serious but provides a funny and challenging experience.” - Alex & Josh, 2pt Interactive
In Heavenly Bodies, everything is designed so it can be physically simulated. Ropes, buttons, machines, and your very own body react to forces in a way that, without gravity, will challenge you to rethink the way you approach seemingly trivial tasks.
For those that were paying careful attention, yes, you can play with a partner via local co-op! Call on a friend and discover the new, creative and elaborate ways to finish the task at hand. Cooperation might not always be frictionless though, so pick your crew well.
Key Features:
- A collection of puzzling stellar scenarios inspired by the work of real-life space explorers.
- Take on the challenge solo in single-player mode or team up with a friend via local-coop.
- Control each limb of a weightless cosmonaut to perform difficult and delicate manoeuvres.
- Manipulate state-of-the-art space vehicles and elaborate machinery.
- Stylised 70s visual aesthetic influenced by archival space photography and technical illustration.
- Full DualSense controller support makes interacting with every different material feel unique (PS5 exclusive feature).
Heavenly Bodies is coming to PS4, PS5 and PC (Steam) on December 7, 2021.
