With a list of over 20 songs consisting of world-famous rock bands and indie gems, and industry-standard brands for Rock & Roll shown in-game, Unplugged delivers a rock-solid experience that spans five decades of rock history. Having real-world brands appear in Unplugged perfectly adds to the game’s sense of immersion and first-person perspective of what it’s like to rock out. 

Vertigo Games announced that its VR music game Unplugged is headed towards a PC VR/Steam (Valve Index Controller compatible headsets only) release next week, on December 2 (Valve Index Controller compatible headsets only) for  $/€ 24,99.

To accompany the PC VR release, Vertigo Games revealed a new, exclusive Steel Panther song to be featured in the game at launch. The song comes as a free update to both Meta Quest and PC VR.

The Quest version of the game will include mixed reality with Quest Passthrough as well. Unplugged saw its critically acclaimed release on Quest in October of this year, with several VR specialists praising the rock-and-roll feel of the game, as well as its accurate hand-tracking. Exclusive, tailor-made song by Steel Panther for Unplugged

With the inimitable front-man Satchel of Steel Panther as the in-game mentor and their hit song ‘Eyes of the Panther’ as part of the Unplugged setlist, the rock band already showed their support for the game. Now they are taking it one step further by introducing an exclusive, tailor-made song to the game. The song will be first revealed on December 2, together with the PC VR release and the free Quest update.

Quest Passthrough

On December 2, Unplugged will also receive Passthrough on Quest, which allows players to blend the virtual stage with their living room. Anotherway is particularly excited about implementing the feature. They state: "We always knew that blending a virtual stage with your real place would be a super interesting feature for Unplugged. Getting to see your friends or family cheering you while you play… that’s a perfect combo! Now, thanks to the Quest Passthrough, we can make this kind of experience possible. On the list of venues, you’ll be able to select a new mixed reality one, which can be your own living room, your kitchen, or wherever space you feel like rocking!"
