Become the witch of the woods in Blacktail.

Slavic myth comes to life in this first-person, open-world, action-adventure title. Discover Yaga's story and guide her along the path to become a fearsome guardian of the forest or the dark legend that haunts children's nightmares.

In Blacktail, play as Yaga, a young woman cast out of her medieval village for witchcraft. Guided by a dark voice, you'll take up a bow and mystical powers to create the myth of Baba Yaga by living out the origins of this classic folk story.

As Yaga, players hunt living memories through mythic woods while following the trail of missing children. Foul spirits hold the secrets of Yaga's past and keys to her future. On this journey, Yaga will have to make difficult choices leading her down the path of light to become the guardian of the woods or down a trail of darkness to the terror of nightmares. Make these decisions as you explore a surreal landscape that blends realism with storybook aesthetics.

In addition to Yaga's bow and gauntlet, players will have a selection of abilities that shift based on your morality throughout the journey.

In partnership with ID@Xbox at this year’s The Game Awards, developer The Parasight is excited to share a first-look at Blacktail gameplay. The demo, only available to the public on Xbox until 21 December, will showcase BLACKTAIL’s fairytale action-adventure gameplay for the first time, and give fans a glimpse of what they’ll experience

The Blacktail demo revealed during December’s ID@Xbox event shows the first hour and a half of the game and introduces many of the key characters who will appear throughout the story. Though not available on other platforms currently, THE PARASIGHT hopes to give all players hands-on opportunities prior to release!

• Blacktail's Morality System will significantly impact your gameplay experience. Watch your skillset change as you make story defining choices that shift your morality
• Collect lost recipes from the ancient Grimoire, brew elixirs in the Cauldron to unlock skill upgrades and grow into a great power

 Blacktail is planned to release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam) in 2022.
