'Kingdom Come: Deliverance' Gets Game Award, Sells 4 Million copies, Celebrates With Live Philharmonic Orchestra Concert

by Rainier on Dec. 9, 2021 @ 8:53 a.m. PST

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an open-world, action-adventure, role-playing game featuring a nonlinear story and revolutionary, first-person melee combat.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance promises a first-person seat to a harsh and brutal power struggle for the throne. As players traverse expansive, strikingly detailed locales, they’ll grapple with a range of period-accurate fighting techniques, horseback combat, open-field sieges, and large-scale battles, all while developing relationships and a reputation that will inform the greater story.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance promises no magic, high fantasy or mythical overtones - it draws its inspiration instead from historically authentic characters, themes, and warfare.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a first-person, open world, realistic RPG that will take you to Medieval Europe in a time of great upheaval and strife. The game is set in 15th century Central Europe, the Kingdom of Bohemia is on the verge of civil war. You play as Henry, the son of blacksmith. Your hometown was raided and your family was murdered. Driven by a lust for vengeance you go out on an epic journey. The local lord entrusts you with identifying the culprits behind the massacres plaguing the region. You will need to use all your skills of persuasion and intimidation to extract valuable information from bandits but you are not the only one who is after the raiders. A mysterious killer is slaughtering all witnesses in the most vicious way. In order to bring end to the bloodshed you must act fast.

Warhorse Studios and Prime Matter are happy to announce that Kingdom Come Deliverance won “Best Czech Game of the Decade” at the 11th edition of the annual Czech Game Awards.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance released in 2018 and managed to sell over 4 million copies worldwide across all platforms to date. With a Steam Deck version, a Switch Port in cooperation with Saber Interactive and a new undisclosed project in the pipeline, Warhorse Studios stays as busy as ever and is looking forward for what the future brings.

In celebration of the award Warhorse Studios in Cooperation with GameDev Area and the Brno Philharmonic Orchestra are inviting everyone to join the “Kingdom Come: Deliverance Live Concert” on February 5th in Prague, CZ. Conducted by Jan Valta, the Warhorse Studios Composer, the Brno Philharmonic orchestra will play a selection of the most renowned OST with a projection of scenes from the game itself.
