'CrossCode' (ALL) A New Home DLC Comes To PC Next Week, Consoles This Summer - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on Feb. 17, 2021 @ 10:07 a.m. PST

CrossCode is a love letter to 16-bit RPGs with modern action and puzzle mechanics.

CrossCode is a true homage to the 16 bit era. Think of Secret of Mana having an affair with the classic top-down Zelda games. Like, you know, a really wild one. It’s the Action RPG you’ve always dreamed about, a perfect synthesis of time-tested gameplay and modern controls.

Experience a story full of mysteries and balls. Experience a modern take on the past.

You will follow the adventures of Lea, a player who is stuck in a fictional online game of the distant future. She also lost her memory and, on top of that, can’t speak. Now the only option to regain her memory is to play the game - hoping that fellow players won’t mistake her for a bot.

More than two years after its launch CrossCode will receive its long awaited DLC, A New Home.

Coming to PC (Steam and GOG) on February 26, 2021 for 8.99, while the console version will follow this summer.

With A New Home the story of CrossCode will expand even further. The story starts right after the events of the maingame and players will be able to finally figure out what happened to Lea and all their beloved characters. The time has come to once and for all finish the raid. And to give everyone a good feeling of what CrossCode is all about, we have prepared a fresh trailer, showcasing lots and lots of new puzzles, enemies and story snippets.

Features:

  • Fresh Content which will entertain players for about 8 - 10 hours
  • The biggest dungeon in the history of CrossCode
  • New challenging enemies and bossfights
  • New music tracks
  • And of course: The final chapter of the Raid.

During Lea’s adventures you will experience a strange take on the future of gaming: a fictional online game about throwing balls. Not only are balls your trusty tools to master several dungeons full of puzzles, they are your weapons as well. Together with close-range attacks and special skills, they help you to fend off hordes of enemies.

Combining ball-throwing with a fast-paced combat system, puzzle solving, world exploration and character building, CrossCode provides a mix of the RPG and Action Adventure genre, delivered with detailed pixel art and a soundtrack inspired by old SNES and Playstation classics.

Key Features:

  • Feel the Retro-Hype! CrossCode delivers action oriented 16-Bit SNES feelings with a modern physics engine
  • Solve epic puzzles & quests! You‘re a fan of the Zelda series? In that case you shouldn‘t miss CrossCode as its puzzles can hold up to the classics!
