Ghostrunner is set in a world which is a unique, grim blend of cyberpunk and post-apo genres.
After a cataclysmic event, the remnants of humanity dwell within Dharma Tower, a megastructure constructed as a temporary shelter. A century of conflict led to a brutal division of Dharma — the lower the floor, the lower the resident’s status. The enigmatic Keymaster maintains this imposed caste system, but the people have had enough. Ascend the tower as a Ghostrunner capable of blistering speed and deadly precision, and learn the truth behind the Keymaster’s reign.
Join the resistance known as the Climbers on their mission to cut through the Keymaster’s regime. Death awaits on each level of the tower, from the derelict industrial machinery of the Base to the sickening sheen of the Summit. Dodge oncoming bullets by dashing and wall-running, then slice through enemies with a single cut. Cybernetic implants push the limit even further with bullet-timelike mechanics to keep the cyber-warrior out of harm’s way.
You are a cyber-warrior, a living weapon, the only one capable of fighting both in the physical world and in cyberspace. Lost and hunted, thrown into the middle of the conflict, you must use this bond with technology to ascend the tower.
High mobility of the main character, one-hit-one-kill, and bullet-time mechanics are the bases of the gameplay, which focuses on fast-paced, high-adrenaline combat.
Polish publisher All In Games announced that co-publisher 505 Games has acquired the Ghostrunner IP for €5 million.
Developed by One More Level, Ghostrunner has thus far sold 500k units, recouping its €2.5 million production costs on launch day, and is expected to sell through 1 million copies by year's end.
Nevertheless, the Polish company, which is listed on the stock exchange in Warsaw, retained the right to participate in the profits generated by the game.
“When All in! Games was acquiring the IP of the game, 505 Games was also interested in the purchase, but in the initial stage of our cooperation we could not arrive to a mutually beneficial agreement. Ghostrunner quickly turned out to be a huge success, which convinced them to submit an offer - one of those "hard to refuse". This transaction shows that the strategy we adopted was correct. The 5 million euros gained through the sale, which will go exclusively to our company, will allow us to speed up our development processes,” says Piotr Żygadło, CEO of All in! Games.
Ghostrunner was released on October 27, 2020. The production costs, amounting to 2,5 million euros, were covered on the day of the premiere and the title received very good reviews from users (91% out of 16 thousand reviews on Steam were positive) and the media (an average score of 81/100 out of 64 reviews).
As part of the agreement, 505 Games has acquired exclusive intellectual property rights to the Ghostrunner title and all licenses for the technological solutions used in the game. All in! Games will retain the right to participate in Ghostrunner’s profits on the terms set out in the publishing agreement signed on June 8, 2020.
“This is another very important step in the development of All in! Games and we are satisfied with the direction we are heading. According to the estimates which have already been published, Ghostrunner sold half a million copies by the end of 2020, and we believe that in 2021, this number will increase by at least one million. Recently, we also released Paradise Lost, which sold over 12 thousand copies within its first four days and is on track to becoming the second-largest title in our portfolio. The game is moving up in the Global Bestsellers ranking and has received 78% positive reviews on Steam,” Piotr Żygadło added.
All in! Games recently announced their release calendar for 2021, which includes as many as 20 games, including the highly anticipated Chernobylite, Alaloth: Champions of the Four Kingdoms, and War Mongrels. It also features three DLCs for Ghostrunner (one of which will almost double the game’s playing time) and the next-gen version of the cyberpunk production. The title will also be released on Amazon Luna.

Ghostrunner’s vertical setting enables One More Level Games to show off the beautiful duality of the cyberpunk genre. RTX-powered raytracing highlights lower Meru’s crumbling infrastructure with grungy neon signs and the apathetic hedonism of the clubs and bars on higher levels. An intense retrowave soundtrack by the acclaimed Daniel Deluxe maintains an energetic throughline to punctuate this dangerous journey to the top.
Ghostrunner is available for available for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG), Xbox One, PS4 and Nintendo Switch for $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99, while PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players will have to wait until 2021.
