'Pokémon Masters EX' (ALL) Reveals Variety Of Spring Themed Events

by Rainier on April 2, 2021 @ 8:36 a.m. PDT

Pokémon Masters EX enables players to experience a new type of Pokémon battling on the go and features many famous Pokémon Trainers from the long history of Pokémon video games.

Pokémon Masters EX is a strategy and battling game where players form teams of sync pairs (the combination of a Trainer and their partner Pokémon) to engage in 3-on-3 real-time battles against AI opponents.

The game takes place in an all-new location, the island of Pasio, where Trainers and their partner Pokémon from every known Pokémon region will gather to compete.

Players can still preregister for Pokémon Masters to automatically download the game to their device when it launches later this summer.

DeNA Co., Ltd., in partnership with The Pokémon Company, has announced various Spring-themed content updates in Pokémon Masters EX. In addition to introducing new sync pairs, players will also be able to enjoy the latest in-game story event titled “Pasio Eggsplorers”, available until April 15 at 10:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

Players will be able to add special versions of Burgh & Togepi and May & Lopunny in colorful Spring outfits to their teams. Burgh & Togepi can use Metronome, which deploys one of several moves at random, while May & Lopunny have the ability to change their attacks from Normal-type to Fighting-type after using their sync move in battle. Both sync pairs will be available from now until April 15 at 10:59 p.m. Pacific Time in the sync pair spotlight scout.

“Pasio Eggsplorers” is also available now until April 15 at 10:59 p.m. Pacific Time for players who have completed Chapter 1 of the Main Story. This event features Burgh and May in their Spring outfits as they take part in an egg hunt around the island of Pasio. Players can earn in-game rewards by collecting and exchanging Togepi-themed, Buneary-themed, Torchic-themed, and Lucario-themed eggs.

As part of the “Pasio Eggsplorers” story event, players that participate in the event’s log-in bonus and missions, available from now until April 15 at 10:59 p.m. Pacific Time, will be able to receive up to 1,600 Gems, enough to add up to five sync pairs to their teams.

In addition to these Spring-themed content updates, DeNA also announced that the following content updates are now available:

Diantha & Gardevoir Now Available

The Kalos Champion Diantha and her partner Pokémon Gardevoir will be available in the sync pair spotlight scout, available from now until April 21 at 10:59 p.m Pacific Time. This Fairy-type sync pair can unleash attacks like Moonblast and Dazzling Gleam. Diantha & Gardevoir also have the ability to mega-evolve into Mega Gardevoir during battle, which powers up their Fairy-type moves while also unlocking a new passive skill.

Legendary Arena – Latias

In the Legendary Arena, players battle against an extremely powerful Legendary Pokémon using only a limited number of sync pairs. While HP damage to the opponent carries over after each battle, opponents in the Legendary Arena have an exceptionally high HP, requiring players to carefully strategize on how to take down their powerful foe. In this Legendary Arena, players will take on the Legendary Pokémon Latias, who will appear alongside Flygon and Alakazam. This event is available now until April 13 at 10:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

Champion Stadium – Battle Iris & Hydreigon and Alder & Volcarona

In the Champion Stadium, players can battle the Elite Four and Champion of a particular region. The Unova region’s Champion Stadium will soon begin, allowing players to take on the Unova Elite Four: Grimsley & Liepard, Marshal & Conkeldurr, Shauntal & Chandelure, and Caitlin & Reuniclus. Depending on the week, players that defeat the Elite Four will battle against either Iris & Hydreigon or Alder & Volcarona. The Unova Challenge will be available from April 4 at 11:00 p.m. Pacific Time until May 2 at 10:59 p.m. Pacific Time.

Players can check the in-game menus for more information. Note that in-game event dates are subject to change without notice.

Pokémon Masters EX is available worldwide as a free-to-start game with in-app purchases on compatible Android and iOS devices. The game will be available in English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and Traditional Chinese.
