'Vokabulantis' (ALL) Kickstarter Fully Funded, Opens Up Stretch Goals - Trailer

by Rainier on April 8, 2021 @ 12:30 p.m. PDT

Vokabulantis is a handcrafted stop motion co-op platform adventure set in a broken world inspired by language - oozing story, action and puzzles.

Vokabulantis is a hand-crafted singleplayer/co-op stop-motion love story based on language where you explore a broken world in a visually stunning coming-of-age drama, made with a combination of technical and artistic solutions unlike any stop motion film or game experience before it. And it shows.

Karla and Kurt are stuck at the intersection trying to hold hands for the first time. Now nervously realizing what they are about to do. When they want to speak to remedy the awkwardness, their mouths come off and they are catapulted into Vokabulantis. Lost in the world of language, which has been torn apart by their inability to speak, they now have to save Vokabulantis to save their kindled feelings for one another.

Their experience of that moment at the intersection becomes an epic odyssey through the City of Noun, The Word Power Crystal mines of Afasia and over the sea of the giant Verb Karbs and much more. Fighting the Word Fürher and Grandma Marble - the two ancient forces of language, meeting Numerica, Iago, The Color Prince and many more.

Developer Kong Orange's Vokabulantis kickstarter campaign, has reached its $83,714 funding goals with 8 days to go, opening up stretch goals (such as locla co-op and more)

"Everything on me is still shaking and so is everyone else in the studio! We really made it - thank you! I don't know what this compares to. Maybe climbing a mountain for a month and then unexpectedly reaching the summit and the view is way beyond what you imagined? Being totally exhausted, but still feeling like you could climb forever at the same time?

Going on Kickstarter with no prior experience and just putting our baby out there for anyone to adopt  is a wild rush. We've been totally overwhelmed by a reception full of love, and the support we are experiencing right now is much more impactful than we thought. All these people joined us on this climb and now they are here with us; I'm totally grateful." Game developer and studio owner, Esben Kjær Ravn

Vokabulantis is in development for PC and all major console platforms.
