'Hot Wheels Unleashed' Shows Off The Skatepark Environment - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on June 10, 2021 @ 3:22 p.m. PDT

Hot Wheels Unleashed is an action-packed arcade-style racing experience featuring Hot Wheels cars and sky-high tracks.

Gamers can get ready to drift, boost, jump and crash on Hot Wheels’ iconic orange tracks in various single player game modes. Gamers can also challenge friends in multiplayer races, both online and offline, leveraging a split screen mode.

Hot Wheels Unleashed offers players the opportunity to drive the cars as if they were playing with the die-cast toys. The gameplay includes adrenaline-filled races, an extended choice of Hot Wheels vehicles with different attributes and rarity levels that players can customize with different skins, and jaw-dropping tracks set in everyday-life locations with special track pieces and interactive items.

The game also features a revolutionary Track Editor enabling players to customize tracks in any game environment and share them with the game’s community.

Be careful when practicing your ollie – you might notice a diecast car zooming right past you. That’s because the fourth environment revealed for Hot Wheels Unleashed is the Skatepark.

The Skatepark area has unparalleled space available to unleash the player's creativity and design tracks in an area unconstrained by pesky walls and furniture. Players can use ramps, railings, and beams to create crazy routes and to serve up awesome tricks and stunts. Feel the exhilarating drop of the halfpipe as you tear across the next kick ramp into victory, just don't mind the T-rex.

The Skatepark is the latest of four race environments currently revealed for Hot Wheels Unleashed. The Skatepark joins the dark and dusty Garage, the death defying heights of the Skyscraper, and the College Campus, where school is always out for summer.

Keen-eyed collectors will recognize the seven Hot Wheels® cars unveiled in today's trailer. Bad to the Blade, Hot Wheels High, Veloci-Racer, Solid Muscle, Tur-Bone Charged, Roller Toaster, and Time Attaxi are confirmed to be included in the 60+ plus vehicles that will be available at launch.

Hot Wheels Unleashed is coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on Sept. 30, 2021.
