In Almighty: Kill Your Gods, you take on the persona of an Alpha, the first amongst your kind, a magical warrior infused with the power of your ancestors, reborn to take a stand for your tribe against the tyranny and oppression of the Elder Gods. Almighty: Kill Your Gods is a game
about reclaiming and rebuilding your home in the face of impossible odds.

As an Alpha, make use of magic gauntlets to deliver devastating ranged or melee attacks, shoot fireballs into your enemy’s face or for sheer brute force smash them into oblivion with your metal fists. Activate magic amulets and summon powerful spells to take down giant monsters. Then loot fallen enemies’ for the resources needed to rebuild your Home Island.

Alpha warriors can craft and equip a huge array of Gauntlets and Power Stones, granting magic powers that can then be used to exploit enemy weaknesses. Players will be able to create unique and highly customizable builds. Shoot blasts of ice, activate shields, or beam streams of healing energy that help allies. Players are encouraged to experiment with different loadouts based on their tactical needs, with the freedom to create their very own playstyle.

With seamless online co-op gameplay, Alphas can team up and fight in packs of 4 as they hunt and take down the various demonic and powerful beings who threaten their world. These are frenetic monster sized battles where your combat skills and loadouts will be fully tested as you look to capitalize on valuable loot drops from enemies taken down in tandem with a player ally. Teaming up also means players can help defend each other's Island homesteads from devastating enemy raids and they can build and upgrade defensive towers, farms, and other  buildings, all of which will boost the homesteads local economy.

The dynamic sandbox environments design mean that every play will be different. Gods and monsters roam the islands, each with their own behaviors. Anger these behemoths and watch the island violently react as things escalate for emergent, non-directed gameplay.

Versus Evil and developer Runwild Entertainment announced that the next major content update for their third person co-op action RPG Almighty: Kill Your Gods is now live. 

The action goes underground in this latest update via the Hollows, a subterranean network of Elder God tunnels, caves, old mine workings and long forgotten ancient dwellings of the ancestors for players to hunt and score loot inside.

Entering the Hollows is a time based event, made accessible using keys once players have reached Almighty level or above. Utilizing an extraction portal, players have a limited amount of time before they are locked down and are trapped inside.

Entering the Hollows isn’t without risk of course, within the dark and cramped confines of this subterranean domain there’s a Thunderhead Guardian variant that shoots balls of lightning from its head in addition to being charged with Fire Magic and resistant to its effect. If that isn’t enough, lava rivers and poisonous waste are other hazards players will need to avoid to fully enjoy the spoils of war.

“Aside from the ongoing updates, tweaks and optimization we’ve been hard at work on, we're really excited to introduce a whole new environment for players to explore and fight in, more of which will be introduced in stages during early access. This update takes things up a notch in terms of player adversaries and rewards, and we can’t wait to see what players think of the Hollows”. RunWild intends to introduce five Hollows locations throughout the realm, each one presenting the player with unique enemy variants to do battle with, all of which are Almighty level or above, players looking for a fight won’t be disappointed.

Are The Hollows worth the risk? There are unique Almighty treasure chests in the Hollows that hold signature gear not available above ground, and destructible containers that contain large quantities of crafting materials that players can make keen use of.

Almighty: Kill Your Gods is now available through Steam Early Access.
