With more than 500 collaborators worldwide, Microids is consolidating its teams and activities thanks to this new studio focusing on new adventure games.

The games industry veteran David Chomard, who worked for several publishers before managing his own studio for ten years, will lead the Microids Studio Lyon as Studio Director. To staff its teams, Microids Studio Lyon is recruiting two dozen professionals (artists, designers and programmers) with Unity engine experience on consoles.

This new studio is part of the development strategy initiated last year.

Stéphane Longeard, CEO of Microids adds: “Since Microids had a 64% turnover increase between 2019 and 2020, it appeared logical for us to create a new studio while strengthening the existing projects and investments with the long time partner studios. We are delighted to entrust David Chomard, former Atari (former Infogrames Entertainment) employee, with the reins of this new studio. His experience and expertise will be crucial.”

Microids Studio Lyon completes the company’s pipeline allowing fully integrated internal project development. Microids will keep working with multiple studios already hard at work on more than 25 titles.
