Dying Light 2 Stay Human brings to life a unique post-apocalyptic vision of Modern Dark Ages - a brutal, bleak, and unforgiving reality where you are as likely to perish at the hand of a human as you are by the Infected.
In Dying Light 2 Stay Human players are visiting the City—mankind's last stronghold in the fight against the virus.
Developed parkour mechanics enable players to explore the vast open world and use tactical combat. The lost civilization and setting of the modern dark ages requires creative approaches to finding items and crafting gear. Gameplay shifts during a day and night cycle, so players can dare to plunder abandoned lairs of infected at night and discover the dark secrets of those in power by day. Players must choose which side they want to take and write their own story.
Make ambiguous decisions and witness how they impact the world on multiple levels, transform the shape of The City, and ultimately decide its fate.
The second episode of Dying 2 Know (D2K) showcased a new gameplay trailer, gave survivors a closer look at the infected, and went behind the scenes of mocap and sound design. Techland also revealed a collaboration with the godfather of parkour, David Belle, who has actively participated in the creation of Dying Light 2 Stay Human and lent his talent to a major in-game character.
The second episode of D2K shone a UV light on several types of enemies—including the Revenant, a brand-new infected species—and their transformation process. During the show, viewers learned about how Techland creates the terror-filled, challenging day-and-night cycle in Dying Light 2 Stay Human, which gives rise to terrifying, vicious hordes when the sun sets—alongside a chance at greater rewards.
Several aspects of bringing the monstrous infected alive in the game world were described.
To set the stage for Dying Light 2 Stay Human’s ravaged world and dark secrets, Techland announced a partnership with Dynamite Entertainment for the creation of the prequel comic book, "Banshee: I Am The Cure". The comic will be available at retail later this year, but those who can't wait can grab the digital version on TechlandGG.com for free until July 15.
Techland has also launched Which Kind of Monster Are You?. This new website lets fans take a test to find out which type of infected they would become in the world of Dying Light!
Dying Light 2 Stay Human is powered by the C-Engine, a new generation of Techland’s in-house technology dedicated to open-world action-adventure and action-RPG games.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5 and PC on December 7, 2021.
