Please note that the minimum and recommended PC specifications for the full launch version of Company of Heroes 3 will be different than this Pre-Alpha Preview. Due to the nature of early pre-alpha game development, our intent is to continue optimizing the game’s performance to ensure the best performance on a wide variety of PC hardware.

This Pre-Alpha Preview focuses exclusively on single player campaign gameplay. Starting in the Italian coastal city of Naples, you will be able to go hands-on with some of our exciting new innovations across core tactical gameplay and our all-new Dynamic Campaign Map.

This Pre-Alpha Preview will be available from July 13th 11:00am PDT / 13:00 EST / 19:00 CEST to August 3rd 19:00 PDT / 22:00 EST, August 4th 04:00 CEST.

We will be sharing our plans for multiplayer-centric gameplay in the near future, so remember to register for CoH-Development to avoid missing out.

How can I join?

Here’s how to access the Company of Heroes 3 ‘Pre-Alpha Preview’.

• Visit the Company of Heroes website and click ‘Play Now’.
• Follow the prompts to create a Relic Link account, or simply log in with your existing Relic Link user name + password.
• With your account created, check your designated email inbox for a confirmation notice.
• Click the confirmation link in the email and complete your full profile signup to become a registered member of our CoH-Development program.
• Follow the onscreen prompts and log in using your newly created credentials on our community portal
• Once logged in, link your Steam profile to your CoH-Development account by visiting the Rewards page and following the prompts to claim the Pre-Alpha Preview.
• Go back to your Steam library and Company of Heroes 3 – Pre-Alpha Preview should appear there automatically.

New Dynamic Campaign Map

The new Dynamic Campaign Map delivers full ‘sandbox-style’ gameplay, allowing players to command the overall war effort and experience an unprecedented level of strategic choice. Establish vital supply lines before deploying rear guard defenses to secure your advance. Launch air and naval strikes to weaken and scatter enemy forces or liberate a nearby town to develop a Partisan spy network.

Playable US and British Forces

For the first time ever, command both the British and American forces in one campaign. Take control of iconic new units such as Ghurkas Special Service Forces, Chaffee Tanks and many more, as you prepare to liberate Italy from the grip of Axis occupation.

Full Tactical Pause – Battle like never before!

Test out our new and completely optional ‘Full Tactical Pause’ feature, delivering total control over the pacing of your single-player battles. Queue up everything whilst paused – from build orders to movements or unit abilities – then unleash lethal precision plays to gain the edge in battle.

Skirmish Encounters

Experience incredible action across a variety of intense missions, including dynamic new ‘skirmish’ mission types in this Pre-Alpha Preview experience. This is your chance to provide feedback on what you like and what you’d like to see sharpened in the final single player campaign.
