In Galahad 3093 players will have to earn each hard-fought victory as they compete in up to 32 player combat — and savor those wins in battles of strategy, endurance and firepower.

In Galahad 3093, players pilot brutal war mechs known as Lances competing for dominance in intense battle arenas. Success in conflict brings new weapons and technology to upgrade your firepower and combat capabilities. Each Knight is a heroic warrior of the realm, a unique Lance pilot who brings with them special abilities that will dramatically reshape the battlefield.

Simutronics revealed that the next extended open beta for the upcoming mech hero shooter  Galahad 3093 will kick off on July 23, 2021.

The free beta will take place as part of DreamHack Beyond 2021 and invites all PC players to choose a Knight and jump into a customizable Lance for a week of fast-paced mech combat.

Starting Friday, July 23 at 8 pm CST and concluding Sunday, August 1 at 10 pm CST, pilots can join the beta by visiting the game’s Steam page and clicking “Request Access” or by visiting the game’s booth at DreamHack Beyond. 

Pilots can look forward to trying out new weapons, deployables, and upgrade modules as they vie for supremacy. This extended open beta features five total maps, including two brand new arenas for high-flying mech action: 

• The Rig: This group of loosely connected deep-sea drilling platforms reward the brave, and punish the reckless. With no dry land in sight, this 3 base map offers a crushing, watery end for Lance pilots with poor aerial skills. Jump jet control modules help mightily on this isolated ocean battleground.
• The Pit: Experience the highs and lows of battle in this vertical mineshaft of a map.  You’ll need to make clever use of your jump jets and teleporters to keep both of the two bases secure. With both bases located near the middle, and team spawn points at the top and bottom of the map, the race is on to gain control of the full depths of The Pit.

As part of the beta, Simutronics will hold a tournament from Thursday, July 29 through Saturday, July 31. The “Win David’s Lunchbox Tournament” includes a prize from Simutronics CEO David Whatley’s personal lunchbox, with a mystery gift inside. The Galahad 3093 player who records the highest single-match score during this time will be crowned the winner.  Runners up will also receive a congratulatory certificate signed by the Galahad development team.

The Mech of 3093 is the Lance, a high-mobility heavy weapons platform Each Lance class has its pros and cons in battle, and are highly configurable. Arm your Lance for the tactical situation, and tune its features with upgrade modules.

• Be fast: Skim across the terrain or jump jet high above it.
• Strafe and shred up close with miniguns and shotguns.
• Blast enemies at range with beam cannons and plasma guns.
• Hammer base defenses with rockets, guided missiles and grenades.
• Shape the battlefield with deployable drones, tracking mines and spawn points.

Claim your legacy. Each Knight has taken the mantle of legendary Arthurian figures. A hero of the battlefield, each Knight brings special abilities; one passive, and one active that can dramatically impact your capabilities. Here are just a few examples:

• Wielding X-Calibur, Arthur can call down an orbital strike on his enemies.
• Gwen’s Royal Dome shields yourself and your allies from damage.
• Afterburn allows Kay’s skim jets to spread a trail of burning napalm.
• Perfect extreme maneuvers with Mordred’s Teleport ability.

Fight as a team or die alone. Sure a lone wolf can do a fair bit of damage, but precision teamwork will carry the day. Capture points, destroy enemy generators, lay down defenses. But when the time comes, move with a purpose and capture the next base before the enemy can regroup.

• Prepare for large-scale vertical engagements on complex battlefields.
• Claim the high ground and pummel enemy positions.
• Explore and utilize each environment to gain a tactical edge.
• Skill alone won’t ensure victory; you need to work together as a team.

Combine Knights and Lances with customizable loadouts.A Lance is already extremely flexible and configurable, but when combined with your roster of available Knights and their special abilities, there is no way your opponents will see what’s coming. Find the ideal build and unleash an onslaught they never expected.

• Balance weapon types or double-up guns akimbo for maximum firepower.
• Each weapon has unique strengths to discover, and awaits clever combinations.
• But don’t forget your deployable systems like gun turrets, proximity mines, drones and shield walls.
• Each Lance can be tuned from hundreds of different upgrade modules. Make it your own.

Galahad 3093 is in development for PC and will be coming to Early Access (Steam and Epic Games Store) in late 2021.
