by Rainier on July 8, 2021 @ 1:34 p.m. PDT

Set in the sprawling city of Los Santos and the surrounding area, Grand Theft Auto V delivers a world of unprecedented scale and detail bursting with life, from mountaintops to the depths of the ocean.

When a young street hustler, a retired bank robber and a terrifying psychopath find themselves entangled with some of the most frightening and deranged elements of the criminal underworld, the U.S. government and the entertainment industry, they must pull off a series of dangerous heists to survive in a ruthless city in which they can trust nobody, least of all each other.

Switch between the interconnected lives of Michael, Trevor and Franklin as they embark on a series of heists across Los Santos and Blaine County in the biggest, deepest and richest open world experience yet, with game world enhancements that include new wildlife, upgraded weather and damage effects, and an array of new details to discover.

Grand Theft Auto V also comes with Grand Theft Auto Online, the dynamic and ever-evolving online universe for up to 30 players, and includes all existing gameplay upgrades and content released since the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online.

Rise through the ranks to become a CEO of your own criminal empire by trading contraband or form a Motorcycle Club and rule the streets. Pull off daring co-operative Heists, enter adrenaline-fueled Stunt Races, compete in unique Adversary Modes or create your own content to play and share with the entire GTA community.

New Survival Maps Arrive in GTA Online

A wave of chaos and violence is sweeping across the Los Santos area — swarms of armed invaders are laying siege from the La Puerta scrapyard to the Vespucci Canals. Strap up and battle the Ballas, Vagos, and more across seven new Survivals, out now.

As a reward for outstanding courage and risking life and limb in the face of relentless waves of adversaries, all Survivals are dishing out 2X GTA$ and RP, while competing in any of the new Survivals will land you a lump sum of GTA$100K within 72 hours of playing.

And keep an eye out for Freemode Events and Challenges in Freemode, as you’ll earn triple the usual rewards for taking part through July 19.

GTA Online Summer Update

GTA Online’s forthcoming summer update includes the Los Santos Car Meet, the beating heart of car culture in Southern San Andreas. Keep an eye out on the Newswire for more information coming soon.

Simeon Export Request Bonus: The Sunset Tint Oversize Shades

In addition to the usual monetary dispensation, completing one of his Export Requests by returning a coveted vehicle to his garage will land you the Sunset Tint Oversize Shades as a bonus for being employee of the month (available within 72 hours of logging in after July 15).

This Week on the Podium: Vapid Retinue Mk II

The Diamond Casino & Resort contains many attractions, not least of which is the Lucky Wheel, offering GTA$, RP, clothing, and mystery prizes of all sorts in return for a simple spin. This week on the podium is the Vapid Retinue Mk II — a boxy version of a classic that is equally at home on tarmac and tearing up dirt trails.
