From Resident Evil and Silent Hill, to Alone in the Dark - Tormented Souls is a modern take on the fixed-perspective adventure, offering an improved control scheme and a more dynamic camera, while retaining everything that made those games so beloved by fans.

While investigating the disappearance of twin girls at Winterlake - something terrible happens to Caroline Walker. Waking in the dead of night, naked in a bathtub - and hooked up to some decrepit medical equipment, Caroline must fight for her life as she explores the halls of an abandoned mansion turned hospital.

Nothing is quite as it seems in Winterlake. Cleverly combine items and scour your surroundings for clues as you face cryptic and unusual puzzles through-out the grounds of the mansion. Mirrors provide a gateway to another place and time – investigate even the seemingly mundane t discover ways to manipulate the very fabric of reality and seek your escape.

The mansion may seem abandoned, but as Caroline investigates its secrets, dark forces and unspeakable horrors will do everything in their power to stop her getting to the truth. Be sure to be alert at all times, and use anything you can find to fight off the encroaching terrors of Winterlake.

You'll need much more than a steady aim and sharp reflexes to make it out alive. Search the environment for anything you can use to your advantage. Cleverly combine items to solve puzzles and use every resource available to explore the secrets of the mansion and its grounds.

Tormented Souls will be launching digitally on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam), as well as PlayStation 5 physical version on 27th August for £16.99 / €19.99 / $19.99.

Originally planned for PS4 and Xbox One, then dropped in favor of PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, PQube, Dual Effect and Abstract Digital Works revealed today that Tormented Souls is coming to Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One "soon."

A playable demo is now available on PS5 and Steam, giving players a taste of the first 40 minutes of Tormented Souls.

Accompanying the digital version of the game, Tormented Souls will also be available as a physical disc or cartridge on PS5, PS4 and Nintendo Switch! 

In partnership with our friends at FunStock, players will be able to purchase boxed versions of the game and receive an exclusive Sun and Moon collectable coin featured in Tormented Souls.

From terrifying, wheelchair-bound atrocities to vile disembowelled crawlers prowling the halls, these tormented medical monsters aren’t the only threats that Caroline must face. There are also darker threats at play – quite literally. Early on, you are warned not to let the shadows embrace you...

Featuring improved control scheme and more dynamic camera, Tormented Souls strives to retain everything that made classic survival horror titles so beloved by fans whilst taking advantage of the power and depth of experience made possible by next gen hardware.

Tormented Souls is coming to PC (Steam), PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in August 27, 2021, followed by Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One at a later time.
