Star Citizen delivers the next generation of space flight simulation gaming, combining FPS (First Person Shooter) combat and persistent MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) gameplay to create a living, breathing first person universe capable of truly unlimited gameplay experiences. In addition, through the game's advanced Newtonian physics engine, Star Citizen enables players to experience an unparalleled space sim flying experience with ship control, performance and response calculated based on dozens of dynamically generated physics based variables.

Star Citizen will not require a subscription, and not be free-to-play, it will will be available for a one-time purchase. And while players will be able to play in the Star Citizen universe for free, there will also be virtual items available for purchase with in-game credits so players can customize their ships and other items.

Dynamic Events are server-wide, multi-phase scenarios that play out over the course of several days. Launched and managed in-game by the Star Citizen gameplay team, Dynamic Events give players the opportunity to experience epic space battles with players from across the ‘verse banding together for a common cause.

Starting tomorrow, Aug. 25, Star Citizen players can expect the launch of the new and improved XenoThreat Dynamic Event following player feedback and input. Players are encouraged to join the call to arms to assist with the resupplying and defense of a UEE Navy flagship under enemy attack.

The first phase for the new and improved XenoThreat Dynamic Event is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, Aug. 25. Phases 2 and 3, where the players rally to resupply the UEE and defend against XenoThreat’s forces, will follow quickly thereafter and run through the rest of the month and into early September, concluding on Tuesday, September 7.

Running until August 27, 20:00 UTC, the Free Fly event lets you explore various play styles and career paths with six iconic ships. Whether you're a solo adventurer or looking to form a new crew, this is your chance to explore the stars for free.
