GeForce NOW Adds 'King's Bounty II' And 10 Other New Titles This Week

by Rainier on Aug. 26, 2021 @ 6:00 a.m. PDT

GeForce NOW taps into the thriving PC gaming ecosystem by streaming games from NVIDIA GPUs in the cloud, this week adding 11 new titles to its library.

When you fire up your favorite game, you’re playing it instantly. That’s what it means to be Game Ready on GeForce NOW. The experience has been optimized for cloud gaming and includes Game Ready Driver performance improvements. NVIDIA manages the game updates and patches. And when a game supports RTX, you can play it on GeForce NOW with beautifully ray-traced graphics and DLSS 2.0.

The GeForce NOW library is ever-growing. In an effort to help spotlight the games that are coming to the service, we’re moving to a monthly cadence for announcing new instant access games. Games will continue to be released every week – with new game launches available day-and-date, and back catalog games released each Thursday – but our members, and your readers, will now be able to learn about what’s coming a little further in advance.

This year’s Gamescom was full of announcements for GeForce NOW. We’ve got all of the exciting updates for the future of Dying Light 2 Stay Human streaming on GeForce NOW upon release later this year, as well as Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy coming with support for RTX ON for Founders and Priority members.

On top of that, 11 additional games join the GeForce NOW library this week, including King’s Bounty II.

Enter the Dark Ages With Dying Light 2

The virus won. Humanity has fallen. Gamescom 2021 brings the announcement that Techland’s Dying Light 2: Stay Human is coming to GeForce NOW with RTX ON.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human features a dynamic day-night cycle - using ray tracing, Techland can accurately update the appearance of the world every second, delivering unprecedented image quality. Founders and Priority members will experience incredible bounced lighting to every area of the world, ray-traced shadows with pixel-perfect detail update accordingly, and ray-traced reflections add dynamic detail to suitably-reflective surfaces throughout The City — even on lower powered devices.

Explore a vast and open world with different paths, locations and hidden passages. Wait for night to venture into dark hideouts of the Infected while they’re on the hunt. Master parkour, trap-building and weapon crafting to defeat enemies in creative and brutal combat, and band together with up to 4 players to survive. GeForce NOW members can experience the world of Dying Light 2 exactly as Techland intended, even if they don’t meet the minimum system requirements.

“From the very beginning, we liked the idea, that thanks to GeForce NOW, more players will experience the results of our work and the expanding world of Dying Light 2,” said Tomasz Szałkowski, rendering director at Techland. "Thanks to these solutions, more players will be able to come together across their devices in the fight to stay human."

Take a bite out of Dying Light 2: Stay Human later this year, with both the Steam and Epic Games Store versions streaming GeForce NOW when the game releases.

Saving the Galaxy With Gorgeous Lighting

Gamescom 2021 brings news that Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy will launch on October 26, 2021 with support for RTX ON for Founders and Priority members.

Fire up Star-Lord’s jet boots for a wild ride across the cosmos in this third-person action-adventure game, a fresh take on Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. With the unpredictable Guardians at your side, blast your way from one explosive situation to another, with original and iconic Marvel characters caught in a struggle for the fate of the universe. You got this. Probably.

As a Founders or Priority member, each world you explore will be rendered at cinematic quality with ray-traced reflections across nearly all of your devices.

“Thanks to GeForce NOW, everyone can play Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy -, with real-time ray tracing lighting every environment and experience this original story and its edgy aesthetic with high performances” said Olivier Proulx, senior producer at Eidos-Montréal

Keep an eye out for a first look at RTX in action that will be shared soon. Be sure to add Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy to your Steam or Epic Games Store wishlist so you’re all set for launch on October 26.
