GeForce NOW Plans To Add 34 Games In August, 13 New Titles Today

by Rainier on Aug. 5, 2021 @ 6:00 a.m. PDT

GeForce NOW taps into the thriving PC gaming ecosystem by streaming games from NVIDIA GPUs in the cloud, this week adding 13 new titles to its library.

When you fire up your favorite game, you’re playing it instantly. That’s what it means to be Game Ready on GeForce NOW. The experience has been optimized for cloud gaming and includes Game Ready Driver performance improvements. NVIDIA manages the game updates and patches. And when a game supports RTX, you can play it on GeForce NOW with beautifully ray-traced graphics and DLSS 2.0.

The GeForce NOW library is ever-growing. In an effort to help spotlight the games that are coming to the service, we’re moving to a monthly cadence for announcing new instant access games. Games will continue to be released every week – with new game launches available day-and-date, and back catalog games released each Thursday – but our members, and your readers, will now be able to learn about what’s coming a little further in advance.

It’s a new month for GFN Thursday, which means NVIDIA is revealing the full list of games coming to GeForce NOW in August, including a few highly anticipated game launches: King's Bounty II, Humankind and Naraka: Bladepoint.

They’re just a portion of the 34 games coming to GeForce NOW in August.

Of those, 13 titles are available to stream this week — including the Epic Games Store free game of the week, A Plague Tale: Innocence, the heart-rending historical-action game.

When you play on GeForce NOW, you’re playing the PC games you already own from your favorite digital game stores, streaming straight from the cloud to nearly all of your devices. So, when you claim A Plague Tale: Innocence on Epic Games Store, you’ll be able to play it on your gaming rig, and anywhere you take GeForce NOW.

Additional additions this week include the post-apocalyptic RPG game Death Trash (Steam), indie space experience Starmancer (Steam) and adventure game Tales of the Neon Sea (Steam).

The complete list of games releasing this week is below.

More Fun for Free This Month

This month also comes with new content for some of the most popular free-to-play titles streaming on GeForce NOW. Members can look forward to experiencing the latest in Apex Legends and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.

“Apex Legends: Emergence,” the latest season of the wildly popular free-to-play game from Respawn and EA, launched on August 3 and brought in a new Legend, weapon and Battle Pass as well as some awesome map updates.

The newest legend, Seer, is here and ready to spot opportunities that others may miss. Players can also enjoy a new midrange weapon, the Rampage LMG, a slower but more powerful variation of the Spitfire. To top it all off, the newest map updates reveal a familiar landscape torn at the seams. Decimated World’s Edge is available now on Apex Legends and streaming on GeForce NOW.

The latest event in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege features a new time-limited gameplay mode, a challenge to unlock a free Nomad Hive Mind set, and more. Year 6 Season 2 kicked off with a special “Rainbow Six Siege: Containment” event that sets players in the Consulate map overrun by the Chimera parasite in a new game mode called Nest Destruction. Members will be able to stream the Containment event from August 3 to August 24.
