'Grand Theft Auto V' For PS5 And Xbox Series X|S Gets Delayed Until March 2022 - Trailer

by Rainier on Sept. 9, 2021 @ 2:54 p.m. PDT

Set in the sprawling city of Los Santos and the surrounding area, Grand Theft Auto V delivers a world of unprecedented scale and detail bursting with life, from mountaintops to the depths of the ocean.

When a young street hustler, a retired bank robber and a terrifying psychopath find themselves entangled with some of the most frightening and deranged elements of the criminal underworld, the U.S. government and the entertainment industry, they must pull off a series of dangerous heists to survive in a ruthless city in which they can trust nobody, least of all each other.

Switch between the interconnected lives of Michael, Trevor and Franklin as they embark on a series of heists across Los Santos and Blaine County in the biggest, deepest and richest open world experience yet, with game world enhancements that include new wildlife, upgraded weather and damage effects, and an array of new details to discover.

Grand Theft Auto V also comes with Grand Theft Auto Online, the dynamic and ever-evolving online universe for up to 30 players, and includes all existing gameplay upgrades and content released since the launch of Grand Theft Auto Online.

Rise through the ranks to become a CEO of your own criminal empire by trading contraband or form a Motorcycle Club and rule the streets. Pull off daring co-operative Heists, enter adrenaline-fueled Stunt Races, compete in unique Adversary Modes or create your own content to play and share with the entire GTA community.

initially planned for November 11, 2021, the expanded and enhanced versions of Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online are arriving on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S with new features and more in March 2022.

'While we are extremely excited to be bringing GTAV to the latest generation of consoles, the game requires a few additional months for polishing and fine-tuning. We look forward to sharing more details about these expanded and enhanced versions soon, including the new standalone version of GTA Online also coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in March."

While the standalone version of GTA Online will be available to players on both platforms, this new standalone version of GTA Online will be available for free exclusively to PS5 players during the first three months. And PlayStation Plus members on PS4, make sure to claim your GTA$1,000,000 by visiting the PlayStation Store at the start of each month — every month until the launch of GTA Online on PlayStation 5.

GTA Online

In Los Santos, car culture is back on the streets in a big way, with new opportunities for fans of performance and customization upgrades to get together with like-minded gearheads to test and show off their rides free from interference from authorities and other troublemakers. The renewed interest is bringing a new underground car meet into the area, along with new additions to the local racing scene — and demand for stolen vehicles has never been higher.

Expect high stakes and high action as crews hit the streets to get hold of the latest vehicles on the hot list, challenge each other in new race types, or take part in a series of multi-part robbery missions, where a precisely modified getaway vehicle will be your best weapon — all later this summer.

To help gear up for GTA Online’s summer update, eight new Stunt Races are right around the corner, coming to the GTA Online Stunt Series on May 27th. These new tracks will introduce an array of white-knuckle thrills for stunt racers in an assortment of vehicle classes.

Shortly thereafter, fans of the futuristic Deadline mode will get seven new arenas in which to obliterate opponents with their Shotaro bike’s explosive light trail. If eradicating waves of armed resistance is more your appetite, Survival mode will also expand to new locations throughout Los Santos and Blaine County.

Currently available for PS4, Xbox One and PC, Grand Theft Auto V/GTA Online is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in March 2022.
