Variety revealed that Hazelight Studios has teamed with dj2 Entertainment to adapt the videogame “It Takes Two” for film and television, Variety has learned exclusively.

“dj2 is honored to partner with Josef, Oskar [Wolontis], and the incredible team at Hazelight Studios on the linear media adaptation of ‘It Takes Two,'” said dj2 CEO and founder Dmitri M. Johnson.

No specific studio or network has picked up the project yet, but it is said that Pat Casey and Josh Miller (who wrote the Sonic the Hedgehog movie) are attached to adapt “It Takes Two” for the TV/big screen.

dj2 Entertainment is known for bringing video game franchises like Sonic the Hedgehog, Tomb Raider (Netflix anime series), and is currently also working on Disco Elysium and Sleeping Dogs adaptations.

It Takes Two is available in retail and digital storefronts for PS4, Xbox One and PC (Origin/Steam) for $39.99. All players who purchase It Takes Two on either PS4 or Xbox One will be able to upgrade to its next-gen counterpart for free on the same date.
